UPDATE ‼️🔔‼️

We aren't taking any bookings / reservations for 2024 as we undertake some much needed work on our lovely cottage.

Fear not : Higher Dart Cottage will be back later this year / early 2025 and available for short breaks and holidays.

We cant wait to share our renovation and redecoration photos with you and we are currently working with Listed Buildings to ensure all work is carried out sympathetically 💙

Thank you Elaine and Patrick for choosing us as the next lucky "custodians" of Higher Dart Cottage.

We are thrilled to be the new owners and to own a beautiful cottage in lovely Ditsum - it's been a special place to me (Andy) and my family for many years as my family have lived and had a connection to the Village for 3 generations.

I can remember visiting Granny Ditsum (my great grandmother) who lived at Lyndhurst in Lower Street each summer and we have lovely Childhood memories of Summer holidays visiting Devon.

We can't wait to make more memories and to share our home with guests, new and old, from wide and far.

Ditsum is a special place and we welcome you to make a reservation.

Bookings are open for stays from April 2024 onwards. The cottage is already gorgeous, but we will be making some small changes and therefore we will be opening to guests after Easter.

Higher Dart Cottage is looking for a new owner to love it as we have for decades – and reduced this weekend for a quick sale. We have new challenges and opportunities, so need to make changes. Higher Dart will always be in our hearts and Ditsum will remain our second home. Higher Dart cottage is open for bookings for the 2023 season!
Our cosy cottage is situated a stone’s throw from the River Dart in beautiful Dittisham, South Devon.
We let Friday to Friday in high season and will consider short breaks out of the obvious peak season.
Excellent rates available, from £500 for the week.

A bit more info: the cottage has one large bedroom with a king size bed and bunks, plus a sofa bed in the lounge; a well equipped kitchen, bathroom, and a workspace on the landing with a lovely river view.
There is lots to do and see in the surrounding area including all river activities, crabbing, Agatha Christie's Greenway, Steam Railway, eating and drinking in the great local pubs and wonderful seafood cafe (summer season only), beautiful walks and boat trips. Dogs are welcome.

Exceptional climate in Dittisham last week. Not a single cloud from Friday 5th to Tuesday 18th. Stunning scenery, wonderful weather, proper people, proper pounds, British beer and no flight costs. Can’t wait until summer ‘23.
