My 3rd bucket list destination for this month is 🇱🇰 Sri Lanka 🇱🇰

Just off the east coast of India lies the island of Sri Lanka, formerly known as Ceylon.
This tear-shaped island oozes beautiful beaches, lush rain forests, exotic wildlife and stunning mountain vistas. It’s the perfect place for relaxing on the beach or for discovering the many different facades it has to offer from UNESCO heritage sites including the Ancient City of Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya Rock and the fascinating Dambulla Cave Temples, to leopard spotting in Yala on safari, visiting Elephant orphanages and Turtle hatcheries, whale watching (seasonal), visiting the tea plantations in the hill country and of course seeing the famed stilt fishermen on the coast of Weligama.

Sri Lanka is a jewel of a destination with a host of holiday possibilities.

My 2nd bucket list destination for this month is

🇧🇸The Islands of The Bahamas 🇧🇸

This 16-island destination is made up of two main popular islands and fourteen ‘Out Islands’ with unspoiled landscapes and authentic ambience.

The islands are in the Atlantic Ocean, southeast from Florida and North of Cuba, A ‘Caribbean region within the Caribbean islands’- 1200km long from north to south, Surrounded by the third largest coral reef in the world, An ideal climate all year round.

Whether it is for its beautiful white or pink sandy beaches, the boutique hotels guarantee an absolute privacy. ⛔️ CHECK YOUR PASSPORT VALIDITY ⛔️

As travel fully reopens in 2022, many people are now going away for the first time in 3 years.
I am however being sent daily questions about Passport Validity as rules have changed following Brexit.

🔴 Passports must have been ISSUED within the previous 10 years - regardless of any extra months added to the expiry. This is a significant change and causing the most confusion.

🔴 A passport issued on 01/01/2012 but valid until 25/07/2022 because of extra time added due to applying early - would no longer be valid for travel as it was issued over 10 years ago.

🔴 You also need a minimum of 3 months validity on the passport from the date you plan to return from your holiday for many destinations.
This effectively means the passport cannot be issued more than 9 years and 9 months prior to travel. This can be as much as 6 months for some destinations.

⚠️ Passport applications are taking longer than usual at the moment so please ensure your passports are valid and allow plenty of time to apply for a new one if needed. It is your responsibility to ensure you have a valid passport at time of travel.

My first bucketlist destination for the month is 🇸🇨 The Seychelles 🇸🇨

The Seychelles is an archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean, off East Africa. Luxuriantly tropical and breathtakingly beautiful, it's home to numerous beaches, coral reefs and nature reserves, as well as rare animals such as giant Aldabra tortoises.
The main island of Mahe is a visual feast of towering peaks, tropical forests, immaculate beaches and turquoise lagoons. This is also the place to go sailing - what better way to spend a day than meandering around picture perfect islands?
