Welcome to a delightful little house in the centre of the village with a secret garden and a ‘bothy’ where this year’s show will be held.
🎨 Rosemary Pavey is a local artist and author. Her work celebrates the twin worlds of nature and imagination. She is showing original paintings and drawings in a variety of media. Her cards, prints and books will also be for sale.
🎨 Kate Baker-Brown works as a printmaker and bookbinder in Ditchling. She will be showing gelatine plant prints taken from foliage in her garden, along with small batches of limited edition books made with Saunders Waterford and handmade papers.

Artelium collaborates with local and national artists, showcasing contemporary art & craft amidst the beautiful landscape of the South Downs.
Artelium presents Wood, Earth, a solo exhibition from artist and sculptor Walter Bailey. Working with oak and redwood, Walter creates intricate patterns and bold structures using hand tools, chainsaws and fire. He reuses refuse wood, taken from the landscape and returned in a reimagined form. Taking place both in the tasting room and out in the vineyard, this exhibition includes large scale sculpture, interior pieces, a new collection of woodblock prints and a permanent sculpture created especially for Artelium.

🎨With a background in science, Louise completed her MA in Fine Art in 2019. She has been emerging as a maker of energetic, vibrant art in various mediums since then. Previously a member of an art collective in the Midlands, she is now relocated to a studio in Ditchling in Sussex. In the last few years, she took part in various London exhibitions (eg Bermondsey Project Space/ Woolwich Print Fair) and in Lewes Art Wave as well as Brighton Artists Open Houses.
🎨Her work is a dialogue with her materials, embracing happy accidents alongside conventional techniques. Her diverse subject matters include contemporary dance, landscape and eco politics using drawing, painting and sculpture mediums.
🎨Her idyllic South Downs garden studio is half hidden down her tranquil garden, alongside the restored well and the orchard. Neighbouring AOH venues are connected through hidden hedge gaps and gateways, that allow visitors to wander through this artistic hub of the historic village of Ditchling with its vast arts heritage. Come and meet the friendly artists, maybe watch Louise at work, and on some dates, there may even be cake and tea to buy, in support of a local charity.
