Our Story
When you think about family businesses Mark and Tracie's story epitomises just that. They met and became partners 3 years ago. However, Mark lived in Doncaster and Tracie in Buckinghamshire. Living a typical long distance relationship Tracie would come to Doncaster as often as she could, Mark and his friends, being typical Doncaster lads, would refer to Tracie as The Marquess of Buckinghamshire. His friend would often ask "When is The Marquess of Buckinghamshire gracing us with her presence?". It became clear that for the relationship to be a success they would need to live closer.
With Marks experience in the Taxi industry and Tracie's love of travel, they saw a gap in the market offering first class executive travel service. From there on Marquess was born. They invested in a brand new state of the art eight seater Ford Tourneo with leather interior, which left one minor detail to settle, the name of the business. There was just one clear winner 'Marquess' their journey to get to this point in the business was such a major part of their life together the name seemed to fit perfectly. With hard work, knowledge and the Marquess of Buckinghamshire's enthusiasm (Tracie), they have managed to navigate the many highs and lows that starting a new business has to throw at them and have triumphed. The name Marquess fits the core values of both Mark and Tracie as customer service is the number one priority. Each customer is treated like royalty with the same level of service whether they be airport transfers, family function or a Business/Corporate meeting.
Mark and Tracie have a loyal view to business and enjoy working and supporting other local businesses experiencing relationships with the Visit Doncaster, Be more Social and Campbell & Stenton Accountancy amongst others. Marquess grows from strength to strength boasting their latest win - Hitachi rail Doncaster's official staff transfer company and are delighted to have the opportunity of becoming one of Doncaster Rovers official gold members and official sponsors of one of the UK’s top Mixed Martial Arts events, Caged Steel. The journey so far has had its highs and lows but that hasn't stopped Mark and Tracie's enthusiasm and belief that Marquess Private Executive Hire has an exciting road ahead.
