Heritage Open Days in 2024 run between 6th and 15th September. Some venues require pre booking your free tickets so it's a good idea to get organised now.

There's plenty to do during your visits, including some attractions including activities for children as well.

‘The Hollies, Dorset’ is tucked away down a quite no through lane in Chaldon herring which meanders into a footpath leading to the South West coast path to Lulworth and Durdle Door or Ringstead Bay.

Tyneham is such a special place 🙂

Tyneham Village (often referred to as the "lost village" or the "forgotten village" near Wareham is open to the public most weekends and often school and bank holidays.

The village is steeped in history after the resident were evacuated during WWII. The village was to be used for military training and the residents were never able to return.

If you've never been for a visit to Tyneham Village, then we really recommend a visit. The roads to the village are narrow and winding.
