Amazing weather yesterday for a fantastic Full Day Tour of Surrey and Hindhead with Stafano, Ed, Guy, Andre, Marc and Ben. Lanes well grown-in now and in near-pefect shape, a good mix of big ADV bikes and small enduro's and great company as always. Cheers guys, hope to see you again.

It’s world mental health awareness week.
It’s fair to say we all struggle from time to time, but for some more than others it’s more of an ongoing battle.
Some days, even doing the things you love can seem out of reach, too much bother, not worth the effort.
I’ve ridden for more than 30 years and I’ve always found time spent out on the bike to be a great leveller. Whether it’s an hour down to the seaside for fish and chips, a morning’s blast around the green lanes or a longer ride to the mountains, the benefits are huge and long-lasting.
I began writing this whilst waiting for a group of trail riders to arrive for their tour. We didn’t know each other, but within minutes of meeting and beginning the ride the camaraderie of shared adventure was there, the focus was there as it has to be and, undoubtedly, the mental fog was lifting for everyone.
At the end of the ride, as we were saying our goodbyes, one of the riders came up and said “Thanks for a great ride… I really needed that, so good to clear the head with all the stress at work and all that.”
That comment, totally off the cuff and totally unsolicited, put into words exactly, and far more concisely, what I’ve just spent several paragraphs trying to say.
Mindfulness and mental focus are the current buzzwords, but as someone who rides a bike, you’re already familiar with those concepts, even if you don’t know it. You can’t ride a motorcycle, particularly off the tarmac, without complete and utter concentration on the task in hand. Not for very long anyway!
Getting out on the bike for a few hours is a great mental reset.
Turn off the phone or computer, pull on the helmet and focus on your ride. Explore new routes, get out in the air, put some miles down and you’ll feel better for it.

Some classic machinery today in the form of the awesome Bultaco's – you really don't see many of them around and it was great to have them out and about and enjoying the lanes.
Also crossed paths with some surprise Byway users with rather heavier machinery on our way back... is there a war on?! 🤣

Cracking morning out around our Surrey Loop today with Neil, Dave, Mark, Matt, John and Phil.
A broad range of machinery from the mighty T7 World Raid, a 37 year old KLR, a very-nearly-new KTM to the little AJS125 all out enjoying some great conditions on the lanes which are finally beginning to dry out nicely.
As always though, we found our fair share of mud and puddles.

💦 Great fun Wet, Wet, Wet lap of the Surrey Loop this morning with Josh, Paul, Stephen, Nik, Steve, Craig, Paul and Ian.
Speedos and Flippers required at the beginning and only marginally drier by the end. Steamy goggles and low cloud at points made for some interesting riding in some fairly challenging conditions, but a great fun way to spend a Sunday morning out on the bikes!
