The way some people talk about a potential golf course on Coul Links, you'd think it would result in the wholesale destruction of the site. In fact, great modern golf courses have a very "light touch" on the environment and like to make the most of wild, natural features. Maybe that's why so many golf courses around the UK are based on "Sites of Special Scientific Interest".
So we've mocked up what the view from Embo towards Ben Bhraggie would look like before and after Coul Links golf course is built. Not hugely different, is it? In truth though, the bottom picture would have a few more differences, as those invasive gorse bushes and rosebay willowherb would be gone, making more space for native flora & fauna on this beautiful site.
