Day 1 in Corsica🏝️🇫🇷

✈️ Arrived at Bastia Airport from London Gatwick with easyJet.

📍 First Stop: St Florent

St Florent is a charming coastal town known for its stunning marina port. Just a 30-40 minute drive from the airport, it features a mix of Mediterranean architecture, inviting local shops, and restaurants serving delicious Corsican cuisine. For those wanting to stay in the heart of the town, Hotel La Roya is an excellent choice. Located directly on the beach and within walking distance of local attractions, it offers the perfect base for exploring both St Florent and the surrounding Cap Corse area.

🚗 After a short 30-minute drive from St Florent, we checked into our self-catering apartment at Domaine A Marella, just a 10-minute walk from L’Île-Rousse.

🏠 The apartments are immaculately designed, featuring fully equipped kitchens and modern amenities, plus access to a shared swimming pool.

🏖️ L’Île-Rousse itself is a vibrant town that caters to every need. Stroll along the lovely promenade lined with a variety of restaurants, each offering stunning views of the picturesque beach. The main square is a lively hub where locals gather to play boules, creating a friendly atmosphere ideal for unwinding with an Aperol spritz or a cold beer. Explore charming boutiques and authentic Corsican shops that enhance the town’s unique character. With its laid-back vibe and welcoming community, L’Île-Rousse is the perfect holiday destination.
