At The Treehouses at Lanrick you can make use of the standard 13A outdoor socket to keep your vehicle powered up (found at the parking area at Flycatcher Treehouse).

Apart from The Treehouses themselves, the grounds around both Treehouse sites are a big attraction for our guests (according to the comments in the guestbooks!).

The Treehouses at Lanrick offer stunning woodlands and serene riverside walks, where deer, red squirrels and ospreys among other wildlife keep you company. 🌱 🦌 🦅

Even though we are only a 10 minute drive to Doune, the local town, or an hour from Glasgow and Edinburgh it really feels like you are in the middle of nowhere.

If you're staying at The Treehouses at Leckie, the impressive Gargunnock Hills provide the perfect vista for sitting and watching nature out on the balconies.

Enjoy your morning coffee, listen to the birds or fire up the BBQ for a delicious meal (using food packs from our local farm shop 😉).

With dog friendly walks around the estate at Leckie, up the hills, of to the local pub, there's something for everyone 🐾 🍃 ☕

This is our most popular Treehouse here at Lanrick, so this doesn't come up often.

This Treehouse has one bedroom with the option to add a sofa bed in the living area making it a beautiful weekend stay for 2-4 guests.

🩱Swim kit & towel - for use of the sauna at Lanrick

📻Small speaker - we don't provide any sound systems as we love the birdsong to keep you entertained but if you want some quiet music in the background then bring along your small portable speaker

🍔Condiments - ketchup and mayo for your bbq packs (we provide salt and pepper + olive oil for cooking)

☕Coffee - there is a cafetiere in your Treehouse and one sachet of coffee but if you fancy a delicious cup of coffee on the deck in the morning then worth bringing some too

📘A good book - there is no TV or WiFi in The Treehouses, the ideal place to relax and switch off from the rat race (we provide a pack of cards, Bananagram and Dobble)

Families at The Treehouses - Part 2

We love having families stay at The Treehouses as there is so much adventure to be had by kids, adults and dogs alike!

At Leckie our most popular Treehouses for families and groups are Wren and Siskin.

Photo 1 - These two Treehouses have 2 bedrooms with ample space for everyone to relax and unwind in the treetops (Siskin Treehouse).

Photo 2 - The second room is a bunk room, with the mattresses being standard single size so ideal for anyone (bed guards are provided).

Photo 3 - The decks look out over the stunning Gargunnock hills.

Photo 4 - The outside baths are a hit for all the family, come rain or shine...listening to the birds in the morning or under the stars at night!

Photo 5 - Siskin Treehouse, with wood burner if it's chilly outside or open the doors to the decking to let the sun in.

Photo 6 - Inside of Wren Treehouse, where the sofa can be converted into a sofa bed if you are a family or group of 4-6 people.

Don't want to cook at night? Head to , only 10-15 walk away, which is dog friendly and serves award winning food and beverage.

Loch Lomond is about 40mins away and ideal for canoeing, kayaking, swimming and boat trips as well as beautiful scenery.

For the bike enthusiasts there are lots of bike trails starting in Aberfoyle, just under half an hour away.

Families at The Treehouses - Part 1

Families are very welcome at The Treehouses and we have many guests feed back to us that their children loved the outside space, building dens, going for adventures through the woods and exploring!

At Lanrick our most popular Treehouses for families and groups are Flycatcher and Willow Warbler.

Photo 1 - These two Treehouses are joined by a rope bridge, which is enjoyed by kids AND adults!!

Photo 2 - We have 2 river huts that are free for guests to use; the perfect spots for toasting marshmallows and enjoying hot chocolates.

Photo 3 - The decks provide the perfect communal space for all to enjoy a BBQ or breakfast with the birds.

Photo 4 - With crockery made by onsite you have the perfect bowls and plates for snacks for all!

The months are getting warmer, the days are getting longer, which means the BBQ's are becoming more popular for cooking!

Each Treehouse at Lanrick and Leckie has it's own Weber Pulse 2000 electric BBQ.

They give the same excellent cooking experience as all of the Weber products but are far more environmentally friendly using only electricity for power.

So no need to bring your own portable BBQ's or wood or coal!

The Treehouses at Lanrick and Leckie are ideal for some time out; a chance to slow down and unwind from the busy lives we all lead.

So imagine this....arrive at your Treehouse, enjoy a glass of something, cook a delicious meal on the electric BBQ or sit and listen to the many birds.

Explore the beautiful surroundings around The Treehouses, maybe have an outside bath or if at Lanrick enjoy some time out in the stunning woodland sauna.

How about then being ready for your massage in your Treehouse (if it's cooler temperatures) or in the warmer months outside on the decking.

I (Erica) come to you, set up my table and offer either 45mins or 1hr massages that are relaxing and rejuvenating.

As I am the manager of The Treehouses I know the set up well...and have been known to help light the fire, explain where to go for walks or answer any questions really!

Rest, recuperation, some pampering, and above all leave after your stay feeling ready for the week ahead!

Want to know where we get some of our fixtures and furnishings from?

We thought we'd share some of the recent enquiries we have had from guests who have stayed as to where we get certain things from so here goes:

🧴 for toiletries (including shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, handwash, handcream)

🧺 for welcome packs and food packs

🕯️ for the crockery, glass lanterns among other things

Having a good relationship with our local farm shop means we can provide a delicious welcome pack for your stay.

This consists of milk, bread, butter, jam, eggs and tea bags.

We can also provide alternatives such as a gluten free pack and a vegan pack.

The gluten free welcome pack would have gluten free bread and everything else as stated above.

The vegan welcome pack includes tea bags, jam, bread, muesli, apples, bananas and a large orange plus Oat drink.

If you would rather a gluten free or vegan welcome pack please state this at time of booking or get in touch with us and we will arrange that for you.

To make life easier we also have other food packs you can order at time of booking but if you are wanting alternatives due to preference or allergies, please let us know and we will do our best to organise food packs that work for you.

Click 🤍 if you love the idea that there are two river huts for you to use during your stay at The Treehouses at Lanrick.

We are so fortunate here at Lanrick to have the River Teith flowing through, making it an ideal spot for beautiful riverside walks.

If you want to sit and watch the world go by then a 10 minute walk from The Treehouses at Lanrick and you are down at the river.

Why not take the picnic rucksack from your Treehouse and go to the enclosed hut, put the fire on and set up lunch.

What about enjoying some time together with a bottle of bubbly next to the fire pit...;don't forget to pack the marshmallows too!

The River Huts are used on a first come first served basis so no need to book.

We have had recent sightings of an osprey and a couple of otters, plus lots of other birdlife making their presence known so you won't want to miss out on a visit here.

Spring is on it's way!

Buds are starting to show, the bluebells are coming and it has been a welcome sight to see all the snowdrops pop up around the Treehouses.

The rhododendrons here at Lanrick are truly breathtaking when they are all out.

It was lovely to see the ducks back at the Leckie pond yesterday and the birds are definitely getting noisier!

Having looked through some of the guest books we know that a pine marten has been spotted recently (also by myself when massaging!!), otters have made an appearance and of course our red squirrels and roe deer are out and about.

There is always something to see on your woodland and riverside walks, both at Lanrick and Leckie Treehouses.

We would love to know in the comments what else you have seen if you have stayed here ⤵️
