Cruise lovers have spoken, and the world's best cruise has been named as a colossal ship with all the amenities for a one-of-a-kind experience. Conde Nast Traveller has published its annual cruise line ranking for 2024 following a vote among readers. And it turns out, MSC Cruises took the top spot in the 'Mega ships' category, with an impressive score of 90 out of 100.
Their massive ship, MSC Virtuosa, boasts everything a family could need to make their holiday an unforgettable experience. From intricate water parks to multiple pools, including the Atmosphere Pool, which is one of the largest at sea, to a 4D cinema, a comedy club, and a karaoke bar. It also boasts many family-friendly activities, including a LEGO-themed kids club, a sports complex for basketball and football tournaments, and family cabins. Not to mention the fully-equipped games arcade with all the latest technology, including a VR maze, bowling lanes, and F1 simulators. The MSC Virtuosa also has a humanoid robot bartender named Rob who works in the Starship Club mixing drinks and conversing in eight languages.
Tripadvisor reviews seem to support the ranking, with five-star reviews from passengers highlighting the "second-to-none" service.

Super surprise was bumping into this chap! Kyle is 19yrs old and a former pupil of Helen Jones at Funky Feet (they were performing on World Europa this year) this is his second contact as a dancer with RCI. What a lovely lad and he’s living the dream

As we have our last breakfast, before leaving the ship and heading home, it was a super cruise and we did what we wanted, in a very warm Caribbean including taking time to paint! I’d started ‘Bruce’ when I was on the Greek Celestyal ship over 6 months ago and now he’s finished

Uber is great over here but one thing to watch out for is the fact that while they give you a picture, type of vehicle and number plate for you to look out for the number plates on American cars are only on the back so the cars gone past by then! This got us to Aventura Mall! For hours of shopping!! And then a stroll along the beach as well

Thoughts and experiences for Miami Airport: arrived 1hour late with Virgin Atlantic, despite this we took only 45 minutes to clear security and baggage claim (you’ll need to pay for a trolley to carry the luggage at £9!) But this was only because we had so much we couldn’t pull it ourselves. Meetin taxi was a bit stressful but staff really helpful and the driver kept us informed. We taxied past a Norse airlines plane on the tarmac and they fly London Gatwick into Miami I’ve been looking at their pricing and they are very competitive so if your doing your own flights they are worth a look

Just a tip or two for Miami:
You can book Uber from the airport but when I’ve booked hotels through Booking.com I’ve added on the transfer as well, I also did this in Athens to Piraeus, and I’ve done here
