🌳✨ Castle Ward Has Reopened ✨🌳

We’re delighted to welcome visitors back today following Storm Darragh, but please note there has been some damage around the estate, including fallen trees and branches.

If you're exploring the trails, we encourage you to stay cautious and keep an eye out for unstable trees or hanging branches. Our rangers are actively checking and clearing the trails, but your help is always appreciated! If you spot anything, feel free to report it to us here on social media or let a member of staff know.

Enter Castle Ward this festive season and experience the warmth of Georgian Christmas celebrations! As you step inside, awaken your senses with sights, sounds, and scents from centuries past:
✨ Wander through rooms adorned with colourful garlands
✨ Feast your eyes on a dining table spread with festive foods and rich wines
✨ Listen closely for echoes of Georgian jollity filling the halls!

Outside in the Stable Yard, our costumed Georgian time-travellers (first weekend only) will share stories of those who called Castle Ward home in the 18th century, while Christmas lights add a festive glow. Don’t miss our late-night opening on 29 November, where Castle Ward will be aglow with twinkling lights from 12 noon to 7 pm! All other dates—30 Nov, 1, 6, 7, and 8 Dec—are open from 11 am to 4 pm.

And don’t forget our Christmas Market! 🎄 Join us for the perfect opportunity to browse a handpicked selection of local artisans and food vendors, perfect for finding unique, handcrafted Christmas gifts.

What a beautiful Sunday Morning spent stretching the legs! Now back to the Cottage for a sofa nap! … not me the doggy! 🐾 💤
