A great place to visit while staying at The Alms Cottage is Castle Ward - National Trust. Explore the Georgian mansion house once home to Lord and Lady Bangor - Built by Bernard & Anne Ward in 1760s in two completely different styles, classic & Gothic it’s full of character and wonderful finds!
It was Hon. Sophia Ward - daughter of Bernard whom
Commissioned the Alms House!
The story is waiting to be discovered! And the best part… the estate is only across the road from us!
