Last week we hosted a family through .

They were a pleasure to have stay, and we have thoroughly enjoyed giving the opportunity to a family who needed a much deserved break at our little corner of tranquil paradise.

We hope they feel well rested and made some beautiful memories together ❤️

We believe in what Harry’s Pals are working to achieve and it really is a fantastic charity. So if you haven’t already, please go have a look to see what they are about and do what you can to support!

We’ve created a little herb garden to sit outside the kitchen French doors 🪴

We hope our guests can enjoy a bit of home cooking with some fresh ingredients in our big family farm-house style kitchen!

With special thanks to our maintenance man Chris for building the planter and for the cute plant markers!

We’re always looking at ways to improve our Barn, inside and out ☀️

With quality bed linen, and decorative cushions, our beds are a dream to return to after a busy day exploring Yorkshire or celebrating with family in friends.

We often get asked where our mattresses come from as they offer such a dreamy nights sleep!

We are excited to be able to support Harry's Pals Charity from this summer, and we hope we can help give some much deserved families the opportunity to make some memories together!

Harry’s Pals provides emotional support to parents of severely ill or disabled children. They help families find coping mechanisms so they can feel more equipped moving forwards as a family.

Our designated accessible bedroom and wetroom en-suite, ground floor living and ramped garden allow families with accessibility needs to enjoy much needed family time together.

We are very much looking forward to meeting our visiting families starting this summer! ☀️

Kipling House Barn is a luxury self-catering barn conversion situated high on the Yorkshire Wolds. We have eight ensuite bedrooms so are perfect for groups with up to 22.

We completed a beautiful circular trail run starting and ending at Goodmanham over the weekend, which followed the Wolds Way National Trail.

At approximately 10km, we passed through Market Weighton and the Giant Bradley Statue, along a stream, up to Londesborough Park and back out to the picturesque village of Goodmanham where we stopped to get a bite to eat at The Fiddle Drill!

Goodmanham is about a 5 minute drive from our Barn.

Sharing some photos from our weekend guests who were celebrating a hen party!

The ladies booked from Pocklington for a truffle making class and ate food from based in Beverley.

Our farmhouse dining table was decorated beautifully with flowers from who is based in Market Weighton.

A shout out to the heart of Kipling House Barn, our kitchen ❤️

Our farmhouse kitchen is super versatile and very well equipped. Whether you’re booking in an outside caterer for a celebration, having host a fabulous cocktail making class or simply just prepping a family meal, our kitchen has loads of space and it’s open plan layout means no one misses out on the fun!

We have stocked the cupboards thoroughly so you’ll have everything you should need. We even doubled up on the; microwaves, ovens and dishwasher so there’s no juggling of duties!

The kitchen island is great for hosting, and has 12 stools. The farmhouse table is adjacent and sits 16. Finally the seating area to the back overlooks the Yorkshire Wolds through our floor to ceiling windows.

We have some extra help from Reggie the Springer and of course Poppy in the garden today!

This week we are busy; scarifying, reseeding, edging, planting and pressure washing our outside area while the weather is shining!

The winter really has been a wet one, and on top of the Yorkshire Wolds we really do see some extremes! Hard frosts in the winter, but it also means it feels like the the Mediterranean when the sun is shining!

We still have a select few weekends available in the summer so contact now to book your break!
