Four of the Wold Rangers Way walks go right through Pockthorpe so why not book to stay at The Pump House and start the walks right from the door.

The Wold Rangers Way and shorter Trods are circular walks starting from Driffield, following in the footsteps of the Wold Rangers, using green lanes and footpaths connecting farms and villages across the Yorkshire Wolds.

Bempton Cliffs is less than half an hour from us and a great place to visit.

👋 This year visit Bempton Cliffs on the East Yorkshire Coast. It's one of the UK’s top wildlife spectacles - almost half-a-million seabirds soaring above and towering chalk cliffs https://buff.ly/3uflC10

During spring you can see guillemots, razorbills, kittiwakes, herring gulls, fulmars and shags nesting here as well as the largest seabird in the UK, the majestic gannet. From early April on, we can’t forget everyone's favourite, the puffin!

Of course we are dog friendly…..
We love meeting all your dogs and if it’s anything like ours it will love visiting the beach during your stay. Today we did a walk from Hunmanby Gap (less than half an hour drive) to Filey along the beach and then came back on the King Charles III coastal path. It was about a 6 mile walk with a cafe stop half way!
