Nice job in Helensburgh done recently. It started our as just cutting back the driveway to let a skip lorry up. But we ended up removing two conifers to give a nice view over the Clyde. We also lifted birch trees at the front, to allow pedestrians through. And also trimmed up a clematis and conifer hedge. 🌳🌲🌴

We'll be back in on Friday to do a bit of stump grinding too. 🌳🌲🌴

This was an interesting one. Co-dominant stemmed conifer that had started to split. 🌳🌲🌴

Both stems were competing for sunlight and pushing each other further apart, leading to the tree growing at a crazy angle. Meaning between the weight of the branches and the angle it was growing at, the tree just couldn't support itself anymore. So it was removed for safety reasons and the stump removed so the client could turf over it. 🌳🌲🌴

Large diseased sycamore stem we took down recently. 🌳🌲🌴

The customer was worried about the state of decay in it, as they have young children playing in the garden. The tree was felled and logged up. All waste was removed from site. 🌳🌲🌴

A job we done last week in Helensburgh. 🌳🌲🌴

We took down some storm damaged conifers for the client after the storms. But then a builder told them the wall would need rebuilding as the tree roots were pushing it over. So we had to remove the last tree and grind all the stumps out, so the builders can get in to fix the wall. And the client can sleep easy at night again. 🌳🌲🌴

Large willow we took down in Dumbarton recently. 🌳🌲🌴

The tree was just getting too large, covering 2 gardens. The client also had artificial grass directly under it, so we had to take extra care to ensure we never damaged that. 🌳🌲🌴

All made safe the road is open again and we'll be out to safely take the rest of the tree down, once the winds have died down a bit.

Nice wee job done in Milngavie. 🌳🌲🌴

We removed 3 trees at the front of the house as the client thought they were too close to the building, especially in these high winds recently. 🌳🌲🌴

And we removed the conifer out the back to let more light into the garden, and it certainly helped. The rest will be coming down at a later date. 🌳🌲🌴

All chip was removed from site and logs left for firewood. 🌳🌲🌴

Back in kilmacolm today removing this large sycamore 🌳🌴🎄

We inspected the tree the last time we visited the client. And we discovered it had a large cavity at the base of the tree, you could also see signs of rot 20ft up the main stem. 🌳🌴🎄

Between the rot and all the ivy covering it, we decided it was too dangerous to climb. So we used a mewp to dismantle it safely as it sat between two neighbouring properties. 🌳🌴🎄

Something a little different today.

Our friends at Clyde Groundcare called to ask if we could help them with a hedge.

Turns out a car crashed into it and rather than cut it out and replace it. We'd try and pull it back into place! Luckily enough, I've just upgraded the clutch on my truck. So we strapped the hedge up, put it into 4wd and put that new clutch to work! The hedge is back where it belongs and once it's grown out a bit, it'll trim up lovely again.

Large beech we done in kilmacolm last week. 🌳🌴🎄

The tree was given a 30% reduction to reduce weight and make it more aesthetically pleasing. 🌳🌴🎄

Unfortunately there was two large trees behind it in the neighbours garden, so the pics don't look as good as they should! Pesky trees!!!! 😂🌳🌴🎄
