Where do we begin 🥊🏆🥇🥊

Saturday night was one of the most exciting nights for us to host and we are absolutely thrilled that everything went brilliantly ☺️

Firstly, thank you to Lochee Amateur Boxing Club for choosing The Quay to host your Boxing Dinner Show, we were so chuffed to be such a big part of this evening and we love being associated with the Club.

The venue looked amazing and was set up by Andrew and his team events. Thank you guys for all your hard work 🙌🏻

Thanks to Kerry for making the organisation of the event happen, it was great to work alongside you.

Huge thanks to all of you who attended the event and also for being such a great support to the boxers and coaches who put in so much time and effort for this sport 🥊

Lastly, but most importantly a huge THANK YOU to ALL of our staff who worked so hard to provide the meals, drinks and what we think was first class customer service!

WOW!!!' What an absolutely amazing wedding day we hosted for our beautiful bride and groom, Lori and Callum.

Lori and Callum your choice of decor was absolutely stunning, the venue was full of flowers of your choice which contrasted beautifully with the bows and sashes decor.

As always the venue looked stunning 🌸💗

The atmosphere was amazing with the singing waiters performance, this really got everyone into the party mood. Your special day spent with your wonderful family and friends - the day could not have gone any better 🌸💗

On Sunday we had the privilege to host an afternoon tea and get together for Tayside Kidney Patients Association which was organised by Audrey McHugh.

What a beautiful set up and lots of lovely fresh food made for everyone to enjoy, food was in abundance and we are so happy you all enjoyed your afternoon and were able to relax and enjoy each others company 💜

➡️➡️ All of our events are set up with the greatest of care and attention to detail. We pride ourselves in our customer service but also take so much time to ensure the venue is spotlessly clean, safe and secure for all of our guests and we appreciate when these things are recognised.

Yet again we feel the need to post this as a reminder to anyone visiting our venue

Please respect our staff here at The Quay

We are here to do our job in an environment that we want to make welcoming and respectful for our guests, but often we find ourselves being verbally abused, harassed or even threatened by guests at an event and on some occasions people think it's ok to video us on their phones!
This is so demoralising for us

It is totally unacceptable and we feel we need to highlight this as an issue - but some people think it's ok!

Please, at all times, show respect to all staff members as you would expect yourself in your workplace. The majority of our guests and customers are absolutely wonderful and supportive of us and our family business but we cannot accept our staff members being treated badly, we are only a small team here at The Quay and feel the need to speak up about this 😔

No one knows how much damage harsh words and actions can do to someone

We hosted our first wedding of the year on Saturday and we have to say it was one of the most beautifully decorated we have seen. The sun was shining which made the venue so bright and inviting, the choice of colours looked amazing and it was lovely to be part of Kim and James special celebration.

On Saturday night we had the honour of hosting "Hannah's Dinner Dance" which was a fundraising event to raise awareness of Ectopic Pregnancies The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust 💜

Hannah's friends organised the event of which a massive £21,000 was raised on the night through raffles and an auction which was professionally hosted by Elder of SNF Events

The venue looked absolutely amazing,with a gorgeous sparkle backdrop, projectors lighting and sound supplied by Grey Events and beautiful chair and table sashes supplied by Sweethearts Wedding & Events our roof balloons were supplied by Party Time Dundee all local suppliers we use and trust for our events.

So much hard work goes in to making our venue look spectacular for special events like this and we would like to thank Tania for the huge effort she made to ensure everything ran smoothly and to all of our staff who's hard work from serving a fantastic meal to ensuring the bar ran efficiently was appreciated and your effort recognised as always 🥰

Hannah had worked alongside us previously at The Palais Tea Room and latterly at The Quay so last night was a poignant reminder of such a wonderful young woman but also a loyal and dedicated member of staff that we were lucky to have had in our lives.

Such an amazing evening in tribute to such an amazing woman 💜

It is customary (but not required) to hold a reception following a funeral or memorial service. This gathering offers friends and family the opportunity to meet in an informal environment.
The after-funeral reception gives mourners the chance to support each other, share stories and memories, and continue to celebrate the life of someone they cared about.
