It has indeed been a bit chilly lately, but available most days, small groups up to six people can take an easy walk cultural guided tour of the Albert Square. You need to allow an hour and a half to discover the architecture history and certain artefacts attached to the buildings. Hear stories about the statues, plaques, and interesting items along the way.

A small group booking with confirmation is a must. Please check winter weather forecasts for your preferred day as they can be very changeable, locals are well aware of the wind chill factor. Decent weather is essential, as a guided 'Bright Dundee Tour' concerns the history, heritage and architecture around the Albert Square in the City Centre, which involves a wee saunter outdoors for about an hour and a half.
The purpose of the tour is to enlighten and entertain by building a picture of what actually existed around the square in 1867, to discover certain artefacts attached to the buildings, and to learn the meanings of the statues and plaques along the way.
The statue to the left of the photo is of a gentleman who was involved in the historical Reform Movement depicted in the film 'Peterloo'.
