Fantastic shooting all around by the three person teams shooting multiple flushes throughout the day.

What a week 🏆💥 on Saturday we had the pleasure of hosting the new Elite British Open Schools Championships at County Clays.

This new event welcomed teams from Scotland and England with some exceptional shooting on display.

County Clays has had the pleasure of working with many of the competitors and have seen these young stars of the future grow into the fine shots they are today.

Congratulations must go to the following schools for incredible performances:
Glenalmond for winning the top ladies trophy - Lily, Lucia, Fillipa and Isabella🏆 and the under 15 team - Archie, Jack, Lochie and Hughie also winning the prep school category.

Thanks to Cheltenham for coming all the way north and picking up 3rd overall in the JNR team category consisting of Elliot, Alfie, Oscar & William. William also managed 3rd in the individual JNR category 🏆💥

Finally, congratulations go to Strathallan School for becoming the undisputed British overall champions winners with the following categories: Overall Champions - Ali T, Alex M, Robbie W and Hunter S. Runner’s up 2nd in JNR team - Finn G, Finn M, Jasper FI and Fraser S. Overall British JNR high gun 40 straight - Duncan G 👏. 2nd - Alex M 37, ladies high gun - Molly H 35. Finally, 1st in C**t category - Borris F 32.

Huge thank you to all involved, staff, sponsors (Hull cartridge company, County Clays & Bushwear and lastly the schools that supported this amazing event.

A huge congratulations to the wonderfully talented Strathallan Sporting Clay Shooting Team, who have just competed at the British Schools Championships held at the Oxford Gun Company.💥 The team consisting of Ali T (captain), Alex M, Robbie W, Molly H & Hunter S won:

Overall team winners, beating the runner-up school by an incredible 22 targets, High gun 1st, Ali T on an outstanding 50 straight, for a second year in a row, 2nd, Robbie W on a 47, 3rd, Alex M on a 46 and top lady, Molly H on a super 48. Last but not least we must mention the very talented c**t Hunter S, certainly one to watch in the future on a competitive 42.

It was a tremendous team performance; we are thrilled for all involved.

Special thanks must go to David Stapley (Browning) for his belief and support. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you have done for the industry, let alone County Clays, allowing us to support young superstars of the future, Oxford gun company and shooting ground for a great event, enjoyable, suitably presented targets & County Clays for the continued support in particular John, Angus & Bruce.

We dedicate this incredible achievement to someone who is sadly is no longer with us (Eddy B) Always in our thoughts ❤️

Thank you to all Sporting Club members for an enjoyable shoot, our last of 2023.

As always, some fantastic shooting all around with James Magee taking the Top Gun of the day - well done.
Our Super Final also took place on Sunday with the winners from the Sporting Club shoots throughout the year competing for our Captain's Shield - Congratulations Jerry Purvis, well shot.
Our final award of the day went to Ian Black for showing great improvement.

We hope to see you all again in 2024.
