We are so proud of our local coffee roasters! We get such great feedback on their coffee that we think it should have been gold!

We have some mega Monday morning news to share! We've just heard that Clyde Steamer only went and won SILVER at the Great British Food Awards 2024.🥳🥈

After months of rigorous testing throughout the summer, the judges chose 15 coffees from across the country to make it through to the finals. We were the only Scottish coffee roaster to make it onto the list. This morning the Gold, Silver and Bronze winners were announced ... and we scooped up Silver in the Coffee category.

It’s just amazing that our wee roastery out here in Tighnabruaich has been recognised in this way. We’re super proud to be flying the flag not just for Argyll, but for Scotland too! It shows the quality of artisan produce that is being made right here in Argyll.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us on this epic coffee adventure so far.

As we enter the winter season and Splendour gets some much deserved tlc, it's fascinating to look back and see how far she's come since her early days as a fishing trawler. We have these wonderful photos from the family who originally built and owned her more than 60 years ago. It's a privilege to take care of such a beautiful boat with such a long history.

We're lucky enough here in Dunoon to have regular visits from Waverley, the world's last sea-going paddle steamer. Here she is popping by before the storm set in this weekend. Isn't she a beauty?
