Did anyone catch Rick Stein's Argyll (more like Cowal) trip? It was mainly filmed in the area around the lodges - the Holy Loch and Loch Fyne. AND the wonderful Wreckspeditions helped the camera crew with their drone footage. You can watch it on BBC iPlayer - and anyone who came over on the ferry will recognise the opening shot!

In Argyll, Rick catches langoustine, meets a foraging chef and makes tattie scones.

Well... we've got a bit of news! We now own two lodges at Rashfield: Ruskin Lodge North (No. 6, our original cabin) and Ruskin Lodge South (No. 9, previously called Puck's Lodge). We were absolutely delighted when the chance to buy Puck's Lodge came up last year - it is in a great location almost directly opposite No. 6 as you'll see from the living room photo below. It sleeps six people and has three bedrooms: one double and two twins. This means we can now accommodate larger groups. We're part way through its refurbishment - new carpets throughout, new bedding and furnishings, electrics, heating, and super-efficient boiler. If you're interested in staying at either of the lodges, visit our newly launched website www.ruskinlodgeargyll.com

We are undertaking additional cleaning and 'fogging' with antiviral spray in between stays, and have signed up to the industry standard 'We're Good To Go'. This means that we're currently only accepting bookings of one week or more. Find out more at www.ruskinlodgeargyll.com
