Went to see the absolutely stunning wedding dress exhibition at Ushaw College ✨ If you're looking for an amazing day out in the North East, the exhibition is open until 30th June and we can only recommend it 👏🏼

Unquestionably the best way to arrive in Durham is by train on this beautiful Victorian viaduct. The station is a good way uphill, but well worth the views ✨

Enjoyed a lovely walk in the sun to Sacriston, just north of Durham. A beautiful village with a long mining history well worth learning about ⛏️

Enjoyed a fabulous meal at Coarse for my birthday! Especially loved the way Durham's seasonal wild garlic was woven through the menu. Definitely one of the best things to forage in our lovely city 🌱

Had a fantastic time in Seaham, the closest seaside town from Durham City. Apart from your occasional rainbow over the waves, Seaham is the best place to go looking for sea glass on the beach, which still washes up there today after the bottle works dumped their glass rubbish in the sea over a century ago. A proper treasure hunt for the whole family 💎

Even most locals haven't heard of Beau Repaire, the residence of the Prior of Durham. This ruin marks the spot where the soldiers defending the city spent their last night before the Battle of Neville's Cross. What a beautiful hidden gem! 🏰

Did you know that W.M. Turner painted Durham Cathedral from this view? In his painting it looks like the viewer is standing on Prebends Bridge, but the Cathedral is turned 45° to show it from this beautiful angle ✨
