Did you know in Sami culture they have eight seasons linked to reindeer migration—including two winters? 🦌

‘Dalvi’, which means ‘winter’, runs from December to early February, while ‘giddadalvi’, which means ‘spring winter,’ tends to go from late February to March. 🗓️

The landscapes during both seasons are absolutely breathtaking! ❄️

Lapland has a subarctic climate, average temperature in Lapland in winter is -16°C (3°F), with occasional lows of -30°C (-22°F) or colder.

When’s the best time to go?

Visit Lapland in winter, when you can experience the beautiful snow-covered landscapes and participate in winter activities such as skiing, snowboarding, and ice fishing

100ML LIQUID RULE SCRAPPED! 🥳
As of today, you can say goodbye to 100ml liquid limits and plastic bags in airport security at four UK airports…

It’s all because of high-tech scanners that are going live across airports in the UK. Experts reckon the new rules could save you an average of 30 minutes in airport queues. Happy days!

Current Rules:
- No liquids over 100ml in hand luggage
- All liquids in clear plastic bag (20cmx20cm)
- Electronics taken out of your bag

New Rules:
- Up to 2 litres of liquid in hand luggage
- Liquids no longer needed in clear plastic bag
- Electronics can stay in your hand luggage

Which UK airports?
As of today, these new rules go live at:
- Birmingham (Update: Slight delay with 2Ltrs)
- London City
- Newcastle
- Teeside

Other UK airports are expected to follow suit in the next 12 months, but no dates are set for these other airports just yet.
