‘Ere we ave’ our latest arrival….. The boys have been on tidying her up a little before she hits the road…. yeah ok she isn’t pretty she’s a Levante but has been purchased to serve a purpose and to ensure we are able to keep up with upcoming changes in the PSVAR legislation taking our fleet to 7 vehicles 16-59 seats.

has been dealt a devastating blow today….. this morning we discovered our yard had been broken into and approximately 2000 litres of diesel had been stolen from our Coaches and Trucks along with several hundreds of pounds of damage to 3 vehicles….. our team worked hard to ensure we still managed to pick up the pieces and move over 400 people on their tours day trips and school trips…

We do still have some availability for the upcoming weeks until the schools finish….

BSZ626 driven by James has been to Binchester Fort, YJZ626 has been to Roker Seafront with Alan, along with VHZ doing multiple jobs with Andy and Kev in the 16 seater hiding at Bishop Auckland, whilst PXZ626 has been on a school contract….. something out of the ordinary for us but as we have a team of DBS checked drivers we’re ready for anything!

At 626 we take passenger safety and vehicle maintenance seriously, from the daily walk round checks our drivers carry out to the annual inspection carried out at MOT, so we’re sure you’ll appreciate how super proud of our systems we are when our ‘Megan Trainer’ passed her MOT with a clean sheet today!

Born in 2005 Megan is our Scania K114 powered Irizar Century, whilst primarily she is our driver training vehicle for Category D and D+E 626 Driver Training she also acts as a back up to the 626 Coach Hire fleet, and was also the first vehicle we purchased when we started back in 2022.

Of course we have moved onto bigger and better things (sorry Megan) so whilst Megan has 49 seats we can also provide 54, 57 and 59 seater executive coaches and also have a wheelchair accessible option (45 Passengers + 1 Wheelchair)

A position has arison within the company for a Fleet Maintenance engineer to repair and maintain our fleet, the position is 40 hours per week with a competitive salary.

Successful applicants will be expected to:

Hold at minimum a full category D licence (PSV)

Inspect, maintain and prepare for MOT a fleet of coaches to ensure our compliance with the relevant regulations.

Have a positive and upbeat approach to work as everyday comes with its challenges in this industry.

Bodywork and welding experience would be an advantage but not essential.

Other work is available within the company if the successful applicant fancied doing a little extra, may also become a full time position as the company grows!
