British Acoustics was established in 1972 when the founder Andrew Bishop built his first speaker cabinet in marine plywood loading the speaker with a unbranded 15” cast driver found in a neighbours attic. The following years witnessed many experiments with all manner of materials in the quest for perfect tone. From this day forward Andrew has always has a passion for British tone and having purcha

sed Carlsbro in 2000 his millennium saw Carlsbro PA go from strength to strength until the Chinese took over and Carlsbro PA was discontinued. The Professional Light and Sound Association (PLASA) champions great sound and Andrew was voted onto the committee and occupied the post of vice chairman ensuring that all the members interests were looked after, contributing to the successful running of the British Plasa show in London. Music is at the very heart of the British and is one of the most important of the five senses sight, taste, touch, smell and hearing. British sound engineers travel around the world mixing voices and instruments together creating perfect harmony which is why sound reproduction remains at the heart of what we do, sound is Great Britain’s biggest export and the team should be very proud of British Acoustics. You will be delighted with the British Acoustics line array as it embraces everything the brand stands for, such as reliability, durability, performance and value for money. Back in the 60’s bands like the Beatles and the Rolling Stones broke globally to great acclaim and today British Acoustics is doing likewise and turning heads by delivering what the people want to see and hear.
