We are a small business with a quick turnover. If you make a booking with us please either pay your balance on time or at least return correspondence so we know what is going on. I'm currently chasing payments for next month which cover almost all of it. If things don't improve it means that we will be unable to offer the smaller deposit that we take now and all bookings will require 50% to secure 😢

I find some of the strangest things when cleaning. In the past a full packet of jaffa cakes in a made bed and today a pile of sand under a bed and a load of sweet wrappers behind a chest of drawers?! If you think you'll catch us out that easily you're obviously wrong 😅

Garden clean up today after the storm. We're finishing up general maintenance jobs and are ready for the season to begin! Who's looking forward to visiting us this year? Remember we have some exciting collaborations running if you fancy doing something different during your stay. We are also introducing add ons like charcuterie,afternoon tea,wine and flowers etc to make your stay extra special. If there's anything we can do to help enhance your break just give us a shout and we'll set it up 😄

Peter is busy doing groundwork to get the new electricity cables in then our electrician just needs to ok everything and we're good to go again 😁 Good job we're close by and on the ball. I don't know how remote cottage owners cope 😅

This week's place to eat is Rocky's Bar and Restaurant in Hetton. Just a 10min drive with ample free parking nearby you'll find this little gem! Smart decor,attentive staff and even their own blend lager on tap! Every dish was tasty,fresh and flavourful with great attention to detail. The Sunday lunch menu looks great too! A solid 9/10..1 point off because it was a bit chilly (it is -1° outside though) and Peter didn't like the smell of the wooden shelf right next to the table at nose level🤷‍♀️😅 We'll definitely be back to try the other delights available 😋
