We are Claire and Peter the dream team behind Harry's House Durham! Every detail here is our own. The quirky interiors are just some of the ideas swimming round in Claires head..and Peter is tasked with making them reality 😅 We're also massively passionate about our animals so when we say we're pet friendly we really mean it!
We're on hand to make sure that your stay is everything you want it to be and we welcome you to indulge in our truly independent,one of a kind dwelling.

Peter is busy doing groundwork to get the new electricity cables in then our electrician just needs to ok everything and we're good to go again 😁 Good job we're close by and on the ball. I don't know how remote cottage owners cope 😅

This week's place to eat is Rocky's Bar and Restaurant in Hetton. Just a 10min drive with ample free parking nearby you'll find this little gem! Smart decor,attentive staff and even their own blend lager on tap! Every dish was tasty,fresh and flavourful with great attention to detail. The Sunday lunch menu looks great too! A solid 9/10..1 point off because it was a bit chilly (it is -1° outside though) and Peter didn't like the smell of the wooden shelf right next to the table at nose level🤷‍♀️😅 We'll definitely be back to try the other delights available 😋

I've been playing with this beauty today while our guests were at their daughters graduation. Fully insured with 18years experience working with dogs and cats means it's something else we offer to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

We have no power to the outside areas at present. Still operating as usual but obviously no hot tub or garden lighting available until we can dig up the cables amd find the problem! Bear with us as the freezing conditions aren't helping 🫤

It's been -5° all day today 🥶 Treated the girls to warm porridge with chia seeds and yoghurt to warm them up and popped in to make the house all cosy for our new arrivals later tonight 🥰
