Great for all local facilities, shops and pubs, the map-based website is also perfect for finding informative walks around the main village and Flatford and includes information on local history, stories of note, John Constable painting sites, and his life around the village.

A few local dog friendly beaches where you can run free with your dog all year around 🐾

HARKESTED BEACH (8 miles | 20 mins)
There are no dog restrictions for the whole of the Holbrook Bay area.

NACTON BEACH (Nacton Village) | Ipswich (13 miles | 20 mins)
At low tide you can walk on the shingle beach for miles and enjoy the wonderful views of the Orwell, and at high tide you can wander on the low cliffs in the woodland.

IRLAMS BEACH | also knows as ’EARLHAMS | (16 miles | 25 mins)
Whilst Harwich is a popular spot to walk your dog, Irlams beach just along the coast is virtually unknown and packed by dunes and marshes your dog will love.

OLD FELIXSTOWE (20 miles | 25mins)
From the Spa Pavilion to Arwela Road

LANGUARD POINT FELIXSTOWE (20 miles | 25 mins)
With a huge amount of space at low tide and amazing views of the docks both at Felixstowe and across the estuary to Harwich, its free parking and there is a lovely dog friendly café as well. (dogs must be kept on a lead around the bird sanctuary area which is clearly signposted)

FRINTON ON SEA (22 miles | 30 mins)
Dogs are allowed all year round at the Frinton Golf course end of the beach where the beach huts are on stilts (it’s the best bit of the beach as well)
From the seafront warden station below Connaught Avenue to the public conveniences below Cambridge Road.
