Very exciting news today - after 25 + years, Richard at Easy Street has finally retired (and well deserved it is too) and we welcome Adam & Alison Hackett to Teglios.

You may already know Choklet (their lovely existing venue in Looe) and they have exciting plans for their new venture on the ground floor at Teglios.

We look forward to enjoying it for many years to come and we wish you the best of luck.

Well done Looe - an amazing weekend of music & revellery. Huge thanks to all of the venues, organisers, stewards, musicians, riggers etc. etc. etc - these things don’t happen on their own.

Not only that but someone organised amazing weather for the whole weekend (whilst the rest of the country was getting a proper soaking!!!)

Promoter after promoter couldn’t make Looe’s annual festival work – so landlords and locals came up with their own. We don some glittery face paint and find out how

It’s been a tough secret to keep but we can finally let you all know that owner chef Ben Palmer will be appearing on BBC’s Great British Menu this year! Having watched GBM for years, he is delighted to have been able to compete in this year’s competition! Repping the South West (of course) and cooking up a storm, alongside some very special chef mates. You can tune in on Tuesday at 8pm, BBC2 to watch Ben and the guys battle it out in a VERY exciting journey!

Can you help us with some market research? For some years, we have been thinking about changing the changeover routine at TEGLIOS.

If you have a minute to read on and would like to vote, just comment with a YES or NO to let us know your thoughts. …

Our own experience is fighting with the rest of the world travelling to Cornwall (and Devon, Somerset etc) on a Saturday afternoon and arriving at TEGLIOS after 3pm by which time the weekend is half over. Inviting friends down for the weekend doesn’t work either!!

Then, a week later having to clear up, get the kids organised and be out by 10am to fight the traffic again and arrive home with half the weekend gone again … we find this quite frustrating.

So this is the potential alternative …

Changeover day: Friday
Arrival: 6pm or after
Departure: 12pm or before

This would enable working folks to do a full day at work on the Friday, nip home, pack the car (and children) and set off for TEGLIOS. On arrival you have the whole weekend in front of you and friends can join for a full weekend (if you so choose).

On the way home, a more leisurely start to the day, less traffic and a whole weekend to recover before heading back to work on Monday.

If the majority of you think this is a better option than the current situation, we can implement the change from January 2025 (I know it feels like a long way away but TEGLIOS is 60% booked for 2024 already!!!).

Thanks for your help … we are always looking for ways to improve the TEGLIOS experience.
