It's been announced that EU Entry/Exit System will launch on 10 November. https://buff.ly/3AJMlIA

The associated ETIAS system, the advance passenger permission system which will be applicable to most UK visitors going to the EU, will be implemented around six months later. Whilst the industry has done a huge amount of preparation work to get ready for EES implementation, the public are still underprepared and underinformed about what these changes will mean.

Essentially travelling to Europe will be much more like travelling to the USA in terms of bureaucracy and possibly queues than it has in the past. ABTA host some useful information on how this system will work and to whom it will apply, which is recommended reading.

The EU's new Entry/Exit System launches in November, changing border crossings for non-EU travelers. Read on to understand how this digital shift will affect your European trips.
