Sovereign Harbour Berth Holders' Association Sovereign Harbour Berth Holders Association was formed in 1999 and is RYA affiliated.The Association benefits the Berth Holders as well as the harbour.

Becoming a member means you can enjoy the benefits of discounts from restaurants and local trades people, free safety courses run in conjunction with the RNLI's Sea Safety Team, workshops and other courses. See Events page on the website for more details. Membership of SHBHA costs just £10 per boat per year - great value for money and your membership means more support for the Association who are

A crack has appeared in the cliffs at Birling Gap (don't worry this picture was taken using a zoom lens from a safe distance!).

This could collapse at any time.

For your own safety, always stay well away from the cliff edges when visiting.

Sospan Dau has started dredging the outer harbour so please take note of the following procedures for your own safety and the safety of others.

- Please call Sospan Dau on channel 17 when departing or approaching the channel when they are operating.
- Sospan Dau will give you instructions on what side they would like you to pass.
- Please be aware of prop wash from Sospan Dau this may effect your direction of travel.
- Please also be aware that the channel buoys are not in position while dredging is taking place, so please use the sector light.
