Excessive window tints obstruct driver vision, risking accidents. 🚘

Just because a product is available to buy, doesn't mean it's safe and legal.

Always check the legal requirements before making modifications to your vehicle.

We recently secured a court conviction for illegal car window tinting. Robert Harding, owner of a Thatcham-based tinting firm, was fined £460, ordered to pay a £184 victim surcharge, and £800 in costs after providing a tint service which he knew would make the windows illegal.

The investigation, led by DVSA’s Market Surveillance Unit (MSU), revealed Harding’s tints allowed only 46% light through the front side windows — far below the legal minimum of 70% for cars first used after April 1, 1985.
