Rabbie's Small group tours. Guided by storytellers. Driven by curiosity. Robin Worsnop started our tour company in 1993. But we know the truth.
(1339)

All he had was an old sherpa van and a few people telling him it would never work. These days, Robin likes to think he started the company because he ‘saw a gap in the market’, ‘wanted to create an ethical way to travel’, and ‘knew what independent travellers wanted’. He simply wanted to spend his time travelling around gorgeous places, discovering his homeland, and enjoying a dram with friendly f

aces from around the globe. And he might have carried on doing this forever. But there was a gap in the market; he had created an ethical way to travel, and he showed people a really, really good time. So, people started to talk about Robin’s quirky tours. They sold out and Robin had to hire more people, buy more mini-coaches, start working with spreadsheets, and concentrate on building the company, so more people could live his dream. And after years of building, we now we have award-winning small group tours in the UK & Ireland departing from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Aberdeen, London, Manchester and Dublin. In Europe, we travel through France, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Switzerland. Sadly, Robin is too busy to see all these gorgeous places as much as our guides. But he’s happy others are now getting to see the places he loved in the way he loved seeing them.

The Isle of Skye might not be as much of a secret as it once was... but is that such a surprise? It's gorgeous. ❤

Autumn on the island is truly magical. It's when all the hills and moors transform into a canvas of warm, earthy tones.

We love to see how the landscape changes with the seasons in this beautiful place, which is why we have multi-day tours that visit Skye year-round. 🚌

It's officially the first day of autumn, and we're so excited for the changing of the seasons. The crisp air carries whispers of change, and the trees, now touched with amber and rust, begin to shed their leaves like memories drifting in the wind. 🍂

A moment of transition... a delicate pause between the warmth of summer and the hush of winter. 🤝

One of the best things about using London as a base? The endless adventures that are just a short journey away. 🚐 From charming towns to scenic countryside escapes, there's always a new spot to explore. 🗺

📍 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗵 - Known for its stunning Georgian architecture and Roman baths, its natural hot springs and rich history make it a perfect blend of culture and relaxation.

📍 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗹 - A vibrant city with a creative spirit, Bristol is famous for its thriving arts scene, colorful street art and historic harbor. It’s a hub of innovation and culture.

📍 𝗢𝘅𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗱 - Home to the world-renowned University of Oxford, this city boasts stunning medieval architecture, picturesque college courtyards, and a deep academic legacy that draws visitors from around the globe.

📍 𝗖𝗼𝘁𝘀𝘄𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 - A charming rural area with rolling hills, honey-colored stone villages, and tranquil landscapes. The Cotswolds offer a peaceful retreat filled with traditional English countryside beauty.

We love travelling in autumn, and you should too. Here's why... 🌟

🍂 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰 - The changing colors of leaves create beautiful landscapes, perfect for scenic drives, hikes, and photography.

🌥 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 - Mild temperatures make outdoor exploration more enjoyable, whether in the countryside or bustling cities.

🙋‍♀️ 𝗙𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗱𝘀 - With summer over, popular tourist spots are less crowded, offering a more peaceful and relaxed experience.

💸 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 - Autumn is considered the shoulder season, so flights, accommodation, and attractions are often much more affordable.

🤝 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 - Travelling off-peak helps local businesses thrive year-round. Small, family-run suppliers can struggle outside of summer, and visiting in the quieter months ensures they continue to flourish for years to come.

At Rabbie's, we know travel has an environmental impact, and we're doing our part to reduce it. 🌍

We don't talk about our carbon tax enough. We have a £10 carbon tax per tonne of fuel used, with the funds reinvested into community projects like forest regeneration, path-building, and supporting vulnerable groups. Here's just a couple of examples of the amazing places we work with. ✨

📍 Path building with 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁

The Staffin Trust works hard to maintain the well-loved paths of the Isle of Skye, and we join them every year to help preserve this iconic landscape. 🏞️

📍 Rabbie's sponsored beehives at 𝗞𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗲𝘀

In Fife, we’ve teamed up with to support bee conservation and sponsor our very own beehives. 🐝

Is this Italy? 🤔 Sure looks like it... but you'll actually find the grandeur of Osborne House on the Isle of Wight. A former royal summer home and a beloved retreat of Queen Victoria, designed in the style of an Italian renaissance palazzo. A little slice of the Mediterranean, but much closer to home. ✨
