Rabbie's Small group tours. Guided by storytellers. Driven by curiosity. Robin Worsnop started our tour company in 1993. But we know the truth.
(2239)

All he had was an old sherpa van and a few people telling him it would never work. These days, Robin likes to think he started the company because he ‘saw a gap in the market’, ‘wanted to create an ethical way to travel’, and ‘knew what independent travellers wanted’. He simply wanted to spend his time travelling around gorgeous places, discovering his homeland, and enjoying a dram with friendly f

aces from around the globe. And he might have carried on doing this forever. But there was a gap in the market; he had created an ethical way to travel, and he showed people a really, really good time. So, people started to talk about Robin’s quirky tours. They sold out and Robin had to hire more people, buy more mini-coaches, start working with spreadsheets, and concentrate on building the company, so more people could live his dream. And after years of building, we now we have award-winning small group tours in the UK & Ireland departing from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Aberdeen, London, Manchester and Dublin. In Europe, we travel through France, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Switzerland. Sadly, Robin is too busy to see all these gorgeous places as much as our guides. But he’s happy others are now getting to see the places he loved in the way he loved seeing them.

The story of 𝗞𝘆𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝗯𝗯𝗲𝘆, set in the heart of Connemara, Ireland is truly a fairy tale. Built in the 19th century by Mitchell Henry as a magnificent gift for his beloved wife, Margaret, this breathtaking estate was designed to be their dream home. 🥺

The castle's intricate details and grounds display Margaret's birth family's coat of arms, while the beautifully designed interior has been designed to reflect her personality and passions. 💕

Surrounded by shimmering lakes, rolling mountains, and lush gardens, it remains one of Ireland’s most romantic landmarks. ❤

🌿 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 🌳

Our Rabbie's Manchester team recently joined forces with Buxton Civic Association at Grin Low Woods for a rewarding day of volunteering! Together, we helped build a boundary along a footpath using felled trees while learning about the area's rich history, local ecology, and the importance of biodiversity. 🪵

Buxton’s historic 18th-century woodlands thrive today thanks to BCA's efforts to plant native trees and boost biodiversity. It's an honour to support their work preserving this protected SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest). 🍃

A huge thank you to BCA for guiding us and sharing their expertise. And of course, a huge thank you to our amazing team! It’s moments like these that remind us of the importance of coming together to make a difference for our planet and local communities. 💚

Spring is just around the corner, and we can’t wait for the magic of the season. Picture rolling green hills, blooming landscapes, and crisp, fresh air. Here's some of our favourite spots during this time. ✨

📍 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 - Covered in a blanket of bluebells, daffodils and other wildflowers, perfect for nature lovers. Oh, and did we mention the abundance of baby animals?
📍 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗻𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗹 - One of the first parts of the UK to thaw after winter. Rugged coastlines dotted with wildflowers... plus the beaches are quieter!
📍 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 - The daffodil is a symbol of Wales, and in spring the yellow blossoms can be seen blooming all across the area.
📍 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘁𝘀𝘄𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 - This fairytale destination is stunning all year round, but is especially magical in spring when the country gardens bloom and ivy creeps up cottage walls.
