It's always good to get a real local recommendation about somewhere in the city you're visiting, I mean a real recommendation, not one of these pretend ones you sometimes get when you visit somewhere and your host gets a commission for every person they send their way..

Enjoy 36 taps with craft beers, local lagers, and global brews. Don't miss Fred's Backyard Barbecue pop-up for mouth-watering American BBQ – a must-visit for visitors staying with us. We absolutely love it for its laid back vibes, lovely staff, tasty beers and always brilliant grub. 🍻🏖️

Scotland is quite small (although it can take ages to get across country) but if you're visiting Edinburgh and you want an easy rural excursion come and visit Haddington, a charming East Lothian town. A thriving market town with some great local shops (especially the Cheese Lady!) and lovely countryside.

Thirty Castle Street - brilliantly stylish self-catering holiday apartments based in the absolute centre of Edinburgh. With a view up to the majestic Edinburgh castle you can step out the front door right into the city buzz - restaurants, cafes, bars and shops in every direction.

Edinburgh is such a fabulous place to visit - make sure you stay somewhere where you can make the most of it.

I love this apartment. I stayed in it for a night when I needed somewhere to stay in town and it was brilliant. A fabulous living and dining area meant I could relax and entertain comfortably. With a great view and handy for the heading out for a few drinks with friends! A great place to stay (and the wallpaper is pretty funky too!).
