Our very own Cameron Bark is starring in this, starting tonight. Mum is very excited to see it, can’t wait 👍🎉

We are delighted to announce the opening night of our sold out Panto in the Rosebery Hall tonight .

We would like to welcome all of our guests and a special mention to the Cubs and Scouts from 21st Craigalmond to tonight’s first show.

Doors open at 7.15pm sharp for a 7.30pm start.
There will be a variety of drinks and snacks available at the interval and a seperate tuck shop for our children and young people attending. As always there will be a raffle with prizes available for collection after the show ends . Don’t forget to grab one of our show programmes too.

End time is anticipated for 9.20pm to 9.30pm aprox…

Following on from my last post….. worrying statistics

New survey by ASSC reveals alarming issues with short-term let licensing in Scotland's tourism sector:

🏡1,848 businesses responded in 48 hours, with 17,563 bed spaces at stake
🏡Some 70% are concerned at the requirement by some councils to display personal information in public spaces
🏡Identity theft, personal safety, security and GDPR and privacy breaches, harassment, unwanted community conflict and vulnerability of women and older people all examples of comments from respondents relating to data
🏡Only 36% have applied for a licence, and of those who have done so, just 10% have been granted
🏡In Edinburgh, around 22% of respondents have applied, and only 1% (4 licences) have been granted a licence
🏡 In Perthshire, 38% have applied, with only 8% approved
🏡 High costs and complex applications deter many
🏡 53% businesses plan to remain open, risking 6,200+ bed spaces.

Fiona Campbell, CEO of the Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers, said:

“These survey results indicate small tourism accommodation providers have little to no confidence in the licensing scheme. They remain concerned about a whole range of issues, from extortionate fees to the sharing of personal information. Operators are already leaving the sector with many more poised to follow suit.

"Time is running out. The Scottish Government need to pause their disastrous scheme and get a grip of the situation with an urgent review before it is too late. The self-catering sector stands ready to work with Ministers and officials to put in place a fair, proportionate and legally sound regulatory framework.”

That’s our short term let’s license been submitted. It’s a process which most people have objected to but is still going ahead. People who are under this umbrella only have until the 1st of October to apply. Good luck everyone, especially those who fall under The city of Edinburgh Council 😩

**Help required from any friends in SQ/Edinburgh area please **
I am looking for someone who can cover for me when I am on holidays to do same day changeovers for me for Forth Reflections. Dates are from the start of the school holidays on Mondays and Fridays.
Please get in touch if need any more info but basically requires cleaning and making up new beds for a few hours between 10am and 4pm.
I will pay a reasonable rate and may be other work available on Mondays and Fridays throughout the rest of the year when I need to catch up with other business related jobs.
