Quality Yard Pride 2024 Paint jam street art photos. Thanks to all the LGBTI+ artists and friends who painted. Quality Yard is now a certified
Scottish LGBTI+ welcoming space 🏳️‍🌈.

Just a reminder Quality Yard is Venue 470 at the . This FREE 360° Street Art Exhibition is online and Pay What You wants bookings for our mini Spray Paint Tasters are available. Go find us on the Fringe app, online and in the famous big Fringe guide book.

Quality Yard has had over 150 artist paint since 2018. In 2019 Quality Yard joined The Edinburgh Fringe offering visitors to Leith an alternative art exhibition for the urban art fans.

Hope you can pop down and visit us in August or before. In keeping with the street art practice some of these paintings may have been repainted over by August 3rd.

Pride Paint Jam 2024 WIP photos. Part of the 2024, celebrating Pride month & receiving our Equality Network certificate.

Since 2018 and the creation of the 360° street art exhibition at Quality Yard artists have been so kind as to paint in the yard and now out in the lane. We have graffiti writers, first timer/newbie street artists and professional artists paint two or three times a year and additional solo paints by prior arrangement.

Watch out as we are in the online and in the guide book. Venue 470 opens its doors on the opening Fringe Festival weekend and the three other Saturday’s in August.

Thanks to all the artists who took part. My assistant took all these photos, helped buff out the old paintings and ran around being a great runner.

Our Pride Paint 2024, part of the , starts on Saturday 15th June. We are welcoming 15 LGBTQIA+ artists and allies to paint in Quality Yard and the street art panels on Maritime Lane. We are also home to the “Unofficial Leith Street Art Festival”… well no one else’s has been running paint jams this regularly in Leith.

Here are a selection of photos from previous paint jams at Quality Yard. We started in 2018 with 8 artists and now have lost count of how many street art and graffiti artworks have been painted here… but it’s probably around 150!!

This year we have a diverse range of artists painting from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen & Beyond! Looking forward to meeting them as we start at 11am on Saturday 16th June 2024 at 20 Maritime Lane EH6 6RZ.

Many many thanks to all the past artists who have joined us here at Quality Yard. We offer a safe space to paint in the centre of old town of Leith. Quality Yard is 200m from The Shore Tram stop & 200m from The Shore.

Hi LGBTQIA+ artists from Glasgow, Fife, Aberdeen & the Lothians please get in touch for last few spaces for Pride Paint Jam 🏳️‍🌈 at QualityYard - the “Unofficial Leith Street Art Festival“! June 15th & 16th. We’re at 20 Maritime Lane, EH6 6RZ.

Looking to offer wall spots to LGBBTQIA+ artists and friends who are interested in painting street art and murals in a safe friendly way. We have been painting in the yard for over 6 years and wish to show encouragement to artists interested in painting outside on a larger scale.

These 10 photos show the range of street art we have on show and some of the fun we have at the yard. The courtyard is covered in 2.4m high boards for beginners and experienced street artists. We have had over 150 paintings made since 2018.

Calling all LGBTQIA+ Artists interested in taking part in the Pride 2024 street art painting of Quality Yard as part of the . We have approximately 12 spaces for LGBTQIA+ artists or couples who would like to join us in our Pride 2024 paint at the “Unofficial Leith Street Art Festival” at Quality Yard, Leith, EH6 6RZ.

We’re looking for local artists from Leith, or nearby in Edinburgh, this year who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community, or allies, who want to come down and paint in a safe and relaxing environment at Quality Yard in Leith on June 15th and 16th 2024.

FYI This is our 5th Leith Festival exhibition and it all started in 2018 with Paint Jam with 8 artists painting our 360 Street Art covered courtyard. We’ve now had over 150 Street art pieces painted on the walls and doors during this time.

Tomorrow I join over 100 artists at . Thanks for my successful application. Here are 2 of my 6 submission images I sent in. The images show a collage of my stencil work on the street and my little infrequent paintings.

I applied to to join YW 2024's street art festival as it is being held on my 60th Birthday. So as I'd be starting a new decade whilst at SWG3 I figure WTF apply!!!

Edinburgh Street Artist & Graffiti Writer painting an epic double height mural earlier this month. Elphs large mural covers 4 street side art panels. Clove is a newly introduced Scottish character in the game. Visitors are encouraged to search for Clove in this “secret” location. Given the coverage in the press it’s no secret where she’s painted. It’s been a busy few weeks so apologies for the delay in posting these pictures.

Sumayya Wushah aged 11 reporting from Gaza painted in Edinburgh

With over 100 journalists killed in Gaza the younger generation are reporting the horrors via social media.

A huge street art mural was painted in Fountainbridge Edinburgh by showing Sumayya reporting from the rubble and camps in Gaza.

Talented Edinburgh street artist Hungry Window has been painting a series of murals highlighting the plight of the Gaza refugees. More photos to follow.

"People in Gaza are suffering severe food shortages, with the UN saying children in northern Gaza are starving to death and famine is looming.

Gaza's two million people are experiencing "severe levels of acute food insecurity", US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has said." BBC News 19/3/2024.

Ceasefire Now in Gaza!!!!
"Your silence speaks volumes"

Edinburgh street artist has been regularly painting powerful murals showing his and many millions of other people around the world for a Ceasefire in Gaza. These murals can be found at the Union Canal, Fountainbridge in Edinburgh.

Since painted Bisan Owda on the walls of Quality Yard in January my social media feed is full of sad news from the young reporters sharing the news via social media. More than 100 journalist have been killed and no international reporters dare enter Gaza so it is up to the younger generation to share their stories via social media.

Hungry Window is currently talking through plans to host a Graffiti and Street Art Jam to raise funds for Palestine in the coming weeks.

In the meantime please do what ever you can be it donate to a charity helping Palestinians or write to your local MP to ask for ceasefire action.

Bisan Owda ( ) street art painting by from her Sunday painting session.

Bisan has recently been reporting amongst the rubble of the Gaza cities showing severe infrastructure damage by the bombing.

The death and devastation being caused by the IDF in Gaza is happening in a very small geographic area.

The 2nd and 3rd graphic, mapping Gaza compared to Edinburgh and Glasgow, shows just how small.

26,000 deaths in a single metropolitan area (Gaza sources). 300,000 homes destroyed out of 439,000 (WSJ).

Thanks to for risking her life to report on Gaza. Thanks also to for taking time to paint this magnificent portrait which can be found at 20 Maritime Lane, Edinburgh, EH6 6RZ.

Bisan Owda - a 25 year old journalist in Palestine. This superb artwork is being painted by Anna Dittmann in January 2024.

I included a map of Gaza compared to Edinburgh and the local towns around for scale. The death toll in Gaza currently stands at over 25,000 and over 62,000 wounded. The overall total is likely to be higher because many casualties remain buried under rubble. I added the map of Gaza as it is 41km long. If Gaza was overlaid over Edinburgh it would only cover the distance from Livingston in West Lothian, through the capital and out to Tranent in East Lothian.

The United Nations voted by a large majority for a ceasefire in December but still there's is none.

Apologies if this text feels heavy but since Anna Dittman's painting I have taken my head out of the sand and read more of the horrifying news from Gaza. Consequently I felt I cannot post a picture of Bisan Owda without some background details to show my disgust at the daily news.

Saturday 20th Jan at . painting, 2 Spray paint workshops by for youngsters then adults. We were so lucky with the weather. I've added the tryptic pic as they look so goo D (soz). Final pictures is a paste up in Maritime Lane please let me know if you know the artist.

The general vibe in Leith has changed since the trams opened up last year. We are seeing more foreign visitors ambling around and taking pictures of the street art on our building and in the yard. On Saturday we had a couple posing infront of the 3 boards and they lived & collab piece. So I couldn't help myself but give them the chat.

Finally... ( gawd he rabbits on!) I went to see at on Saturday evening too. So all in all a good day.

ciotóg - A left-handed person..... or clumsy. A nice bit of wee paint experimentation by visiting .zippy from Belfast yesterday afternoon. Great to chat to her, wishing her all the best and thanks for painting.

The 5 external street art panels & painted doors are part of the started back in 2019.

Also shown in the 3 photos are a a door by & a panel .baba. Many thanks to all 3 artists and the many other artist who've painted at Quality Yard. The feedback from the Street Art panels has been most favourable.

Our FREE 360⁰ Street Art Exhibition had 3 painters working hard yesterday. Come along from 12-4 this Sunday 6th to see their new work and new work being painted.

We give visitors the opportunity to try our Spray Paint Taster where you can use spray paint outside on boards right beside these fresh new artworks.

Yesterday was first large scale outdoor painting alongside her pal Dallas .
qui will be back today to finish his artwork.

We have affordable A3, A4 and A5 prints, Original artworks and Cert x graffiti inspired paintings. We also have resident artist prints.

We are 50m from The Port of Leith, 100 metres from the Shore tram stop and 180m from the Shore.

Leith Walk street art, graffiti & paste-ups on a recent walk. Starting with .rebel.bear clever stencil in Duke Street, .bru at Coatfield Lane Hoardings, my Mün stencil at Steads Place along with a selection of pasteups. One crop of a picture by the Water of Leith is truly messed up. But I'm not going to restart the post.
