January is pretty full on for most of us in the travel industry. For travel planners like me, this involves long hours of quote preparations, holiday bookings plus the ongoing service for our customers currently or imminently travelling.

During a wee breather one morning last week, I went through my travel photos and came across this belter of an image. This is me (and my hair) in beautiful Vienna, during my adventures across Central and Eastern Europe in the summer of '99!

I'm sure many of you will have had your own travel experiences back in the day. Why not take time to dust down your own photo albums and remind yourselves of those magical times. Easy to bypass those memories when life is busy…

Our annual Travel Counsellors conference extravaganza in Manchester last weekend!

A tremendous cast of guest speakers - Saturday featuring Fearne Cotton, Sara Davies MBE Jake Humphrey & Damian Hughes from High Performance Podcast, Chris Brindley MBE, Maggie Alphonsi MBE followed on the Sunday with Ellie Simmonds and Louis Theroux.

Our gala dinner, hosted by the one and only Vernon Kay, celebrating the successes of our top performing TC's across the globe, showcasing our award-winning suppliers and highlighting the humbling work of our wonderful charity partner Reuben's Retreat.

I had the opportunity to engage many of our suppliers, some I already work with closely, and some exciting new partnerships made too. We really do have the globe covered for our customers, with some incredible travel experiences in 2023, and the promise of so much more to come...
