Aside from being a big part of the authentic experience our historic vehicles offer, our open platforms are the perfect place for a photo opportunity, right below the personalised destination sign with your own special message.

As Historic Vehicles, our vintage Routemasters have all original or authentic features and that includes the open platform!

With a personalised sign above, the platform is a great spot for a photo opportunity - when the bus is parked up, of course.

Guess where we were on Friday?

All three of our Routemasters sport custom destination blinds on the front and back, featuring over 40 destinations in Edinburgh and East Lothian 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

To ensure that these are sympathetic with our historic vehicles, we worked with to source authentic rollers in the paper-linen blend that you would have seen back in the 60s.

Two Red Buses, two Pickled Pipers, some Highland Coos and Highland games… What a wonderful way to kick off a wedding weekend!

We had the best time transporting Dara & George’s guests to the ever-iconic Dundas Castle for pre-wedding and day-of wedding celebrations last month. And how delighted we were to see The Pickled Piper Jr and Sr there to welcome us!

Barnbougle Castle? Or Barnbougle Coo-stle?

We were back at the stunning Barnbougle Castle last weekend and as always, had to stop for a look at the lovely highland cows on the way.

Coos aside, we love the scenic drive through the estate, ending with the castle itself standing tall against the dramatic seascape.

All three of our Routemasters will be out and about this weekend, so look out for our red buses and give us a wave if you spot us!

What an incredible day we had touring the Port of Rosyth with and

Our Routemaster caused quite a stir with its bright red livery in this weekend's foggy weather, taking guests around Dunfermline and the Port of Rosyth to learn more about the work that takes place at the Ports.

Looking back at Haley and Colin's dreamy wedding in July...

Traveling to Scotland to marry, Haley and Colin truly made the most of their time here. Following their ceremony at the incredible they then opted to have their reception out in Edinburgh's Old Town, sampling the traditional Scottish pubs on offer.

Choosing our vintage Routemasters meant that non-residential guests travelled together to the ceremony. Aside from the convenience of this, seeing Scotland from our double deckers is an experience in itself! After the ceremony, we then welcomed everyone on board for the trip back to town and for the party to start!

We'll be back at The Pavilion Cafe today, with our first trip at 11am!

We had a wonderful time taking guests up to Dunsapie Loch on Tuesday and can't wait to do it again today.

Tickets are £3 per person or £5 for an adult and child, with 50% of proceeds going to Edinburgh Direct Aid. Cash only please.

That just married feeling ✨

We are so fortunate to assist with our couples' special days and there was something extra special about Madeleine and Simon's wedding.

It was an honour to drive Madeleine, her family, and her bridal party to all together for the wedding ceremony. Later, we welcomed the newlyweds and their guests on board for a tour and toast before their arrival for the reception - and it certainly is a grand arrival in our Routemasters! It's wonderful to see whole wedding parties travelling and celebrating the day together, making memories that will last a lifetime.

Madeleine and Simon, you, your friends and your family were a delight to have on board and we wish you the biggest congratulations and best wishes for the future!

Looking back at Rob and Joe's vow renewal in June - and what a fantastic day it was!

We took Rob, Joe, and their lovely guests from their ceremony at to their reception at , one of their favourite places in Edinburgh. Between venues, our guests had a wee tour of Edinburgh and a stop for a toast and photos, truly a lovely afternoon celebrating love!

Thank you again Rob and Joe - it was a delight having you on board!

Gordon drove Sons of Scotland Pipe Band around Arthur's seat yesterday all 60 of them. And they stopped for a performance looking down over Edinburgh!

Our last wedding of 2022, and what a beautiful snowy day for Hannah & Scott. We took the wedding party on a magical route from Winton Castle to the ceremony at Our Lady of Loretto Church, Musselburgh and back again. And there's always time for the photos on the platform.

We were in good company again at Carlowrie Castle Fairytale wedding transport alongside The Red Bus.

It's been one week since Lee-Ann and Steve's gorgeous wedding at Prestonfield House. Even the clouds moved aside to let a wee bit of sun through for our tour of Edinburgh! High spirits and warm laughter makes autumn weddings so very magical. A special congratulations to the happy couple! 🍾🥂

Lorraine and Colin's special day at the Royal Botanical Gardens! Our trip included a wee brush with Her Majesty herself, a fun 70s/80s playlist singalong, and two spectacular horse-drawn carriages. What more can we ask for? May your future adventures continue to be just as scenic 😍
