Scottie Scheffler, Masters Champion 2024

Scottie Scheffler secured a four-shot victory over Sweden’s rising star, Ludvig Aberg to win his 2nd masters title in 3 years.

Being the firm favourite going into the Masters, wins at the Players championship and Arnold Palmer invitational earlier this year put Scheffler into good form leading up to the Historic Major.
Being high on confidence, Scheffler came flying out of the blocks on day 1, shooting an impressive 6 under. However, as the wind picked up on Friday and Saturday, the famous Augusta national golf course became even more of a test. With tough conditions, shooting low scores was unlikely, as Scheffler shot even par on Friday and 1 under par on Saturday which took his score to 7 under par going into the final day.

Facing tough competition, with the likes of Aberg, Fleetwood, Homa and Morikawa all gunning for their first green jacket. Scheffler’s cool head, experience and fantastic iron play allowed the man from Dallas, Texas to shoot a 4 under par, 69 to take home the green jacket.

Liv Golf, got the season underway this weekend in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Many eyes being on the world number 3, John Rahm as the Spaniard looked to get his Liv Golf career of to a winning start. Whilst he stayed in contention throughout the weekend, a bogey-bogey finish knocked him out of the running for a play-off, with fellow Spaniard Serigo Garcia and the Chilean, Joaquin Niemann. With Light Fading fast, Niemann sank a birdie putt on the fourth play-off hotel to claim victory and Win LIV Golf Mayakoba.

All was not Lost for Rahm, as his team locked up the team victory in their Liv Golf Debut, with fellow LIV Golf Debutant Tyrrell Hatton posting a final round 7 under 64 to assist the team’s victory.

An action-packed weekend of golf

Wyndham Clark declares victory at the AT&T Pebble Beach pro-am. Clark shot an impressive 12 under par 60 on Saturday, which was enough for him to take victory with the final day of play being cancelled due to extensive wind and rain.

The 30-year-old American finished the 54 holes on 17 under par, one shot ahead of the young upcoming Swedish golfer, Ludvig Aberg, and 2 shots clear of the Frenchman Matthieu Pavon.
