Inchcolm Island is now closed. It has been a fabulous season taking the thousands of customers to visit the Iona of the East. It has also been a pleasure working in partnership with Historic Scotland to bring you this amazing visitor attraction.

We never stop. Our winter timetable is now available to book. Our Three Bridges Cruise will take you down to Inchcolm Island for views of the abbey, the seals, and the other marine wildlife, as well as views of the Edinburgh skyline and the magnificent Three Bridges.

Inchcolm Island will close for the season on 31 October. It is not too late to visit the Iona of the East. Our Inchcolm Island Cruise is the perfect day out. Climb the bell tower for great views. Inchcolm Island closes on 31 October. Forth Boat Tours have daily sailings with island landings from 11am right up to 31 October.

The abbots house is the first building you meet when you land. It has been suggested that it was an infirmary for the old and sick canons, or where every canon went to be bled by leeches. More likely, it was a private house for the abbot. Find out more on our Inchcolm Island Cruise and don't forget to visit the shop and museum and to say hello to the Historic Scotland team who are waiting to welcome you.
