Just back from an amazing trip. It started with our Gold Conference in Sri Lanka where we were treated like Royalty by our amazing partner Columbus Tours. We stayed in the awesome Cape Weligama and took trips to Galle Fort and a Safari to the incredible Yala National Park. Unique Safari experience which extends right to the beach and the Indian Ocean. The food, drinks and hospitality were unbelievable and we even managed a cricket match against the resort staff in the baking heat which was an experience. The cold beer certainly helped.
After saying our goodbyes we were off on the next part of our adventure down the Mekong River.
We had a night in Siem Reap, Cambodia which was superb and would go back before meeting our fellow sailors and a coach journey to Kampong Cham and meet the crew onboard The Victoria Mekong. We then set off on an incredible 7 night journey down the Mekong to our final destination the old Saigon and now Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. The food was amazing and we had 2 excursions every day included. The cabins were large with outside balconies and the staff were amazing. Beer and soft drinks were complimentary 24/7 with a cocktail hour each evening and wine was served in abundance with lunch and dinner.
We ended our trip with a couple of days in Ho Chi Minh City which was a perfect way to end an amazing bucket list trip.

What great news. Emirates have announced they are recommencing their Edinburgh Airport flights to Dubai from 4 Nov with their A350 aircraft.
Timings are EDI/DXB 2040/0805 and DXB/EDI 1450/1905.
The A350 is a 3 class aircraft with 32 Next Generation Business Class seats, 21 Premium Economy and 259 Economy class.

🟡Well just back from our amazing Gold Conference in Thailand 🟡

What an awesome trip. It started with a few days in Patong before the Conference in the lovely Deevana Resort and Spa. Great Hotel located in a brilliant spot just close enough to the action but just back far enough. Loads going on. It was then up to The Melia Phuket. Stunning Hotel and they looked after us with an amazing party and Dinner.

It was then over to Elephant Hills. If you love the Jungle and love Elephants then this is for you. 🐘Incredible place with luxury Tents and immersive up close encounters. We held our Conference here but we had a full on 2 days. Amazing food and so well looked after. This needs to be on your bucket list. It was then back to Khao Lak and a night in the equally impressive Devasom Beach Resort and Villas. They were amazing hosts and put on a fabulous last night Dinner in their Michelin Restaurant along with local and superb entertainment. Sunshine on Leith was a favourite.

We then said our good byes and Pam and I headed off to the Maldives where we stayed a few night in the amazing Varu by Atmosphere. Speedboat transfer from Male and 45 minutes later you are in paradise. 🏝️ We had an amazing Over Water Villa and everything about this resort was class. The food was awesome and everything included in their Varu Plan was superb. Great value. It was then a Seaplane transfer to Vakkaru. Another stunning resort frequented by big stars and you can see why. Staff again so friendly and helpful and the GM Iain was awesome and a fellow Scot. We grew up 3 miles apart. It was then a Speedboat transfer over to the absolutely stunning Anantara Kihavah Villas. What can I say other than WOW. The Over Water Villa with pool was massive. Really well looked after including lunch at their award winning underwater Restaurant SEA. Spectacular. After a few days of absolute luxury it was another Seaplane transfer back to Male and then a short 15 minute speedboat transfer to our last stop, The Sheraton Full Moon. What a great and pretty big resort with lots going on. Again the food was top class and we had dinner in their unbelievable Michelin Thai Restaurant.
The food in the Maldives is simply stunning and the service and friendly nature of the staff is so warming and inspirational. Yes there are different Islands and they cater for everyone and we were blessed with a truly remarkable experience so many thanks to all the resorts.

Just back from the most amazing trip ever. Massive thanks to Scenic we started in Panama City then sailed north further into Panama and onto Isla Cebaco then various stops in Costa Rica at Golfito/Curu/Islas Tortugas and Bahia Culebra then into Acajutla in El Salvador then onto Puerto Quetzal in Guatemala then various stops in Mexico in Huatulco/Puerto Vallarta/Isla Cerralvo and finally Loreto. We had to be dragged off the ship for a flight up to Los Angeles and a night in Beverly Hills before flying home. Absolutely awesome trip so a massive thank you to Scenic for this once in a lifetime opportunity.
