This former fisherman’s cottage is located in the coastal village of Burghead on the shores of the Moray Firth, eight miles from Elgin, and sleeps up to seven people in two bedrooms and a sofa bed.
The interior of the cottage includes a cosy sitting room which includes a sofa bed and a small dining table as well as a compact but well-equipped kitchen. There are two comfortable bedrooms both with TVs, a ground floor double and a first floor family room with a double and single bed. The ground floor family bathroom completes this well-equipped seaside cottage. Outside, there is roadside parking and a lawned garden with a seating area and a barbecue. Fisherman's Rest is a lovely base for exploring this wonderful area. Amenities: Oil fired central heating with electric fire. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer (in external utility), 3 x TVs with Freeview, DVD, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. A travel cot can be provided upon request. Fuel and power are included in price. Bed linen and towels also included in the price. Well behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 8 mins walk. Beach 1 min walk. From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain's best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.Burghead is a peaceful coastal village on the shores of the Moray Firth in the north east of Scotland eight miles from Elgin. The village has a lot to offer with a good selection of shops, pubs and eating places as well as having an excellent beach, far-reaching views, an abundance of flora, fauna and bird life. Burghead Bay is rich in wildlife with whales, dolphins, porpoises and seals regularly visiting.
