With 25 years experience in the jewellery industry, we specialise in jewellery supply, bespoke jewellery, remodelling and repairs of all types. The Benchworks also provides jewellery making classes. Predominately working in silver, you can learn some of the traditional techniques used by goldsmiths. These include, piercing (sawing), soldering, forming and shaping, finishing and polishing. Evening

classes run in five week blocks on Monday evenings or full day Saturday workshops, approximately once a month. Classes are held at 14 Harrow Inn Close, Elgin IV30 1BP. Attention Jewellery makers! Classes are back after a summer break. The beautiful technique of Keum Boo is now available to try. Keum Boo is the ancient art of bonding 24ct gold foil to silver. It can take a bit if practice but is so worth it for the gorgeous results. The block of evening classes starting tonight is sold out but there are spaces in future blocks and Saturday workshops. Happy Easter! It’s been lovely to have a few days off to enjoy the sun (and chocolate!) As it’s the school holidays I will be off next week again.
