After an unbelievable amount of hard work, lodge number 2 is up and running. Entirely designed and built by us with the help of some very special people who we are so grateful for.

April has been extremely busy at Oak Lodge with lots of guests from all over the world exploring Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We even broke our record and welcomed 9 (miniature) dogs in one stay! 🐶

One of our favourite spots 🤍

📍Slains Castle, Cruden Bay, Aberdeenshire 🏰
A bird’s eye view of the magnificent cliff-top ruin above the sea. Did you know that this castle was the inspiration behind Bram Stoker’s Dracula?

This castle ruin is located close to cliff edges which can be dangerous. Keep to the surrounding paths, stay away from cliff edges and do not climb on any of the castle structure. Do not take any unnecessary risks.

📍 Bennachie, Inverurie

Yesterday we climbed Bennachie in the most glorious weather which is about a 35 min drive from Oak Lodge.

We then went to for lunch which is right on the route back to the lodge.

That Scottish fresh air and blazing sun is just the best 🤍☀️
