Sorry we’ve been quiet, but we have been busy little beavers here at Bayview getting ready for the coming season.

We were delighted to receive our Customers Choice award again. Glad you all love coming to stay. We have also successfully obtained our Self-Catering licence from the council and are looking forward to welcome everyone over the coming years.

Very wild here today. Collieston in winter is very wet and wild- but some love that. Bayview conservatory is the best place ever to watch the storm from.

Quiet and beautiful day enjoying the sun on the beach while the boys dig.

Also nearly stood on this little dude while washing the windows yesterday ahead of our new guests arriving. It was quite a storm we had on Friday!

The haar rolled in for an hour last week- an hour! In that hour Timmy Mallett cycled into the village, took a photo and left.

He is on a cycle tour so keep a look out for him!

Been a busy few months at Bayview with lots of amazing guests. We had a gap in our bookings last month so took the opportunity to paint the outside.

If you come across a sick or dead wild bird when visiting one of our National Nature Reserves or elsewhere please do not touch. In recent weeks a number of cases of avian flu have been suspected or confirmed. Thankfully, the risk to human health from this virus is very low, but members of the public should avoid touching or picking up bird carcasses. If you find a single dead wild waterfowl (swans, geese or ducks), a single dead bird of prey or five or more other dead wild birds, please report them directly to Defra 👇
