Apologies for the radio silence. We wanted to have some downtime and enjoy Bali. We spent our last 4 nights in and around Ubud.

We enjoyed 2 nights at the stunning Hanging Gardens located 40min outside of Ubud. Here we relaxed and enjoyed the jungle. Having our own private pool was a real treat.

Our next 2 nights were spent at the Viceroy Bali, a beautiful hotel 5 min drive from the centre of Ubud. More contemporary hotel with stunning private pool. We couldn't resist jumping when it was raining.

Ubud captured our hearts, and we wish we had more time here. There is so much to see and do. Along with a great food scene and some amazing spas.

If you are planning on coming to Bali, Ubud is a must.

🌄 Marvel at the panoramic vistas of lush rice fields and volcanic landscapes

This was my favourite temple that we have visited. You need to time your visit and avoid any holy weeks as it will be super busy.

Discover the Beauty of Traditional Bali – Sideman 🌿✨

If you’re looking for a peaceful escape, Sideman is the perfect spot. Surrounded by stunning rice paddies, it’s an ideal place to unwind and soak in Bali’s natural beauty. 🌾

We loved exploring the area on foot, watching traditional weaving, and even trying a silver-making class! Cycling is another great way to take in the breathtaking views. 🚶‍♀️💍🧵

Our stay at Wapa Di Ume was truly special, with its tranquil atmosphere and stunning scenery. 🏡🌄

Yesterday was such a fun experience we got to enjoy a silver jewellery making class in the heart of Sideman.

We got to learn all the techniques involved in making our own rings. From the melting to shaping the metal. We both thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and I would highly recommend using a small family business.

Some much-needed downtime in this peaceful Bali escape! Waking up to the sound of the waves was pure bliss. We indulged in a relaxing Balinese massage and explored plenty of local eateries—just a short walk away—for delicious food and a refreshing Bintang.

I even found my favourite fruit.... Mangosteen..

Exploring the East of Bali 🇮🇩✨

Our journey from Uluwatu to Manggis in East Bali was nothing short of magical. Sitting back and watching local life unfold as we traveled was a beautiful reminder of the island’s rich culture.

Arriving in a local village, we trekked through lush paddy fields with a guide from the community who shared insights into their way of life and how tourism has contributed to vital water irrigation systems. The Balinese way of living—with extended families caring for one another, especially the elderly—is truly inspiring.

A much-needed stop at Kaura was the perfect way to unwind, with a refreshing dip in their stunning pool overlooking the sea, followed by some delicious local cuisine.

Soon to be open for a really cool glamping experience.

This was more than just a day trip—it was an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend immersing yourself in the local way of life when in Bali! 🌿🏝️

🌴 We’ve Arrived in Beautiful Bali! 🇮🇩

Our adventure began in Uluwatu, a stunning coastal gem in southwest Bali.

For our first two nights, we stayed at the breathtaking Anantara Uluwatu, where ocean views stretched endlessly before us. One of the highlights was trying my hand at batik painting, a traditional Indonesian art form—such a fun and creative experience!

We also explored the iconic Uluwatu Temple, perched dramatically on a cliffside above the Indian Ocean. As the sun set, we watched the mesmerizing Kecak fire dance, a powerful Balinese performance of rhythmic chanting and flames.
