We are desperately needing bags filling with stone again. Every layer uses 70 bags so we've chomped through our made up pile plus 100 more. If you have any spare time and would like to help push us forward we'd love to hear from you. Tea and biscuits provided!! 😋

SITE VISIT SATURDAY!

'The Underground House' is rapidly progressing, and at the daunting stage of waterproofing the first lift.

There are three waterproofing systems in place:
1. 250mm of waterproof concrete.
2. Waterproofing membrane applied to the outside of the structure
3. French drain - Around all sides of the property (shingle filled sandbags) which are also protecting the waterproofing membrane during backfilling.

Things are taking shape at our flagship "The Underground House"

We designed the underground house to be precisely orientated to where the sun will set on the summer solstice.

So we anxiously turned up on site at 21:26 last night to check that the first 184 ton first lift was orientated correctly… and it’s perfect.

Well done to the site team at Enchanted Hill for getting it so right!

Only to last month, when we attended the SME's Business Awards - because we've got the pro-photos back, and some press clippings!

We were nominated for three awards, and walked away with silverware in all of them! Including Gold for 'Most Innovative Business'.
