Becoming the Iceland Traveller has grown from my work as a Geographer, an educator and as an active volunteer with Girl Guiding UK. I have been travelling to Iceland as often as possible for the last 10 years and in that time I have been able to introduce this amazing country to many hundreds of people. I have led school groups, youth groups, not-so-youthful groups and taken friends, family and ev

en cross channel swimmers on holidays of all kinds ranging from adventures with minibuses and tents to comfy coach travel and hotels with ensuite bathrooms. Some of the best have been the awe and wonder geography trips where students experience just how special it is to stand in the snow, in a pair of pyjamas, at midnight in February, watching the Northern Lights swirl wildly and silently in the sky! And why? I’m simply very keen to share Iceland with people who’d like to go there too and am now in the happy position of being able to make that happen. But it has taken a bit more than changing my job to set up my company. Over the years I’ve made many friends and built up great contacts in Iceland. I’ve developed resources for teaching Geography, I can recommend the places I have been to and visited and have used my experience and that of my Icelandic partners to create successful adventures trips and tours. So like the changing geography of Iceland, my website will also be dynamic and I’ll add, change and develop what’s on offer as time goes by. Look forward to hearing from you,

We are about to pack our bags again for this year's Inspired Iceland holiday. In just 3 days, we'll journey all around the Golden Circle, relax in soothing warm geothermal water with the night sky overhead and watch the Atlantic waves crashing onto tiny black volcanic pebbles on the beach. For some, it's time to discover that putting crampons on your boots makes you feel invincible on a glacier hike.
