🎃👻🎃 Halloween Countdown 🎃👻🎃
Well folks... it is one week until 31st October, so we thought it would be fun to travel around some of the well known (& lesser known) villages & share a ghost story or two to get you in the mood 😱 We don't get to share ghost stories on our day tours but we love all things spooky & the Cotswolds is filled with lots of eerie tales & plenty of folklore.
Bourton on the Water: Did you know that there used to be a witchcraft museum right here in Bourton on the Water 🧙‍♀️ The museum was founded in 1956 but struggled to stay open and closed within a decade. It caused huge amounts of controversy....this could have been due to the life-size wax figure of a naked priestess laid out on an alter....hmmmm I am sure many locals found this a little bit risqué.
As you wander through this picturesque village then do take care of the passing traffic...also keep your eyes peeled for the 'phantom motorcycle & sidecar' which witnesses have claimed passes by in silence, oblivious to pedestrians & vanishes into thin air.
Today was a gentle start to our paranormal countdown, just a little bit of fun really. So I do hope you have enjoyed our little post. Have an awesome day & come back tomorrow for another village & another ghostly tale.
