It’s our busiest time of year on the Farm right now hay making in the glorious sunshine, shearing some of the Soay sheep who have yet to self shed their fleece as well as worming them all! All whist we have two sets of guests leaving today and others arriving!

A very Autumnal morning today definitely feels like we are heading towards winter although thankfully the days are still beautiful. We have had some wonderful guests this summer and still have a very busy Autumn. There is some availability early October in the Hayloft if anyone is looking for a short break.

Most of our guests this summer have met Simba our retriever who has a deep bark but soon wags his tail and loves nothing more than a cuddle!

Despite the rainy weather we still get beautiful sunsets here on the farm. With new guests arriving for the weekend I hope the weather improves so they can enjoy the beautiful walks around the North Cotswolds.

Whose the king of the castle? We are all looking forward to the busy spring/summer ahead in our holiday cottages. All we need is some lovely spring weather for our guests to enjoy!
These boys and girls have been getting through a lot of hay so I am also looking forward to the grass growing!

Sorry we have been quieter on social media since Christmas but we have been busy painting and ensuring everything is working and looking 👌 for the guests this year. It’s one of my favourite times of year for seeing spectacular sunsets too! The light is just beautiful.

For anyone who is coming to stay here at Saintbury Grounds I have only just discovered a little gem in Blockley Café which is way more than a cafe….they open at 9am offering the most delicious Breakfast/Brunches and go on to serve the most delicious lunches and I would go as far to say Michelin star level Dinners! It’s a 15min drive from us but you won’t be disappointed and there are stunning walks around Blockley too.

It’s feeling very Christmassy here at Saintbury Grounds although the snow has disappeared this week the trees are up! Wishing all our guests past and present a very Happy Christmas and a very Healthy and fun 2023!

Winter wonderland here today! We helped two guests make it back home by giving them a lift to the station when all taxis were cancelled as they couldn’t get down our drive! The Soay sheep were also happy to see me with the Hay!

The Soay sheep here are showing us how cold it was last night with the frost of minus 5 on their fleeces! Luckily their fleece protects them against all weathers and is about 4-5 inches thick! They are native Hebridean sheep so this is warm weather for them!!

We had a beautiful autumn here at Saintbury Grounds and now the frosts are arriving the holiday cottages are warm and toasty for our guests to enjoy! The Christmas trees are going up this week too!

The autumn colours are stunning here at Saintbury Grounds Farm. Unbelievably the roses are still coming out as the daytime temperature is 18 degrees which is crazy for November! The guests are still enjoying the outside furniture!
We still have some availability over the Christmas Period if anyone fancies a little break!

Our horses and our guests are enjoying the last of the lovely sunny days. This year we have been incredibly lucky with the weather although we could do with some rain to make the grass grow on the Farm!

This is Raisin who is enjoying a lovely sleep post a good night of grass in the field! It’s not too dissimilar to our guests in our holiday cottages who enjoy the wonderful array of great food available in so many local restaurants then have a great sleep in either the Hayloft, Byre or Old Piggery enjoying the quiet surroundings.
