(stair-gates have been removed because Lillian’s is now fitted with a stairlift to make it suitable for the ambulant disabled.) A gate from the pavement (handrail & removable metal ramp for wheelchair) leads into the walled, paved courtyard garden - ideal for outdoor dining. From there a door with a wooden ramp opens on to a roomy and light kitchen with electric cooker, ceramic hob, microwave and
fridge. The kitchen opens into the living room with exposed beams and inglenook fireplace which still has the original bread-oven. There are comfortable chairs at a good height with arms, and large but low settee for able bodied relatives who like to “stretch out”! There is a 31 inch television (diagonal measurement) & DVD and an extendible dining table and chairs. In the hall is a cloakroom with a WC and basin, with loo surround and a rail on the left. Up the stairs with Stairlift (handrails on the right) are a double and a twin bedroom with all beds at a good height (24ins floor to top of mattress), bathroom (bath-board, non-slip mat and rails) and a separate shower room with a step up and handle on the right climbing in. (French and some Italian spoken by the owner who lives in the village.)
