Just arrived! A good quantity of terracotta roll top ridges plus 2 pairs of finials too!

Two pretty cool fire surrounds that have come in over the past 24hrs!
The first one is a beautiful stripped wood surround with some lovely carving. Probably late 1800's (with some later non visible restoration on the back by the looks of things).
117cm wide x 114cm high (opening 90cm wide x 84cm high).
The second one is a very large carved dark oak surround probably from the early 20th century.
159cm wide x 191cm high (opening 107cm wide x 102cm high).
Some great carving on both of these 🙂

Our overmantle mirrors are now available in a lovely aged gold finish...one available from stock for now but more on their way!
104cm wide x 75.5cm high.
£345 including vat in the gold painted finish - the other colours are still available at £300 each 🙂

So today we start 2025 properly! It is the yards 40th birthday this year so we plan on celebrating that in the spring and our motto for the year is 'back to basics'...we will still be doing all the exciting stuff like the big loads from Belgium, Hungary and India but in-between we plan on rejuvenating the yard with lots of restocking, reorganising & general tidying up of the farther reaches of the yard so please do excuse any chaos as we paint rooms and move pallets of stock from one place to another! 😁
It will all be worth it in the end...I think!

Now let's just hope the rain holds off for at least the odd day between now and April!

Unexpectedly available again! This table came on the last Belgian delivery and sold almost instantly but has now become available again (the buyers opted for a different one of our tables pre delivery). There was a lot of interest in this one at the time so hopefully someone who missed out sees this...a cool chunky oak table with rounded corners.
Size: 200cm x 78cm x 78cm high.

It's 2025, it's absolutely freezing and we are back at it already!
Here's our first piece of furniture for the year...a rustic pine glazed pantry cupboard!
Collected from a local house yesterday and we have just fitted the aged brass k***s and cup handles this morning.
It's 141cm wide x 47cm deep x 188cm high.
A lovely piece to kick the year off! 😁

Thanks so much for all the lovely messages on FB & Instagram yesterday and it's great that so many people now like Hindi Zahra too! 😁
We are open 10am to 4pm today but then closed tomorrow (new year's day). Normal hours resume from the 2nd!

I hope you all have a great new year whether going out/ staying in/going to bed or staying up (I may just about make it to 12.01am but not any later or the kids early wake up will be torture and that's no way to start a new year!)

Many many thanks for all the support this year which is always much appreciated!

2024 has been a very tough year for the business and me personally as well but we are still standing (just!) and I have been working on plans on how we are going to tackle 2025 which is the yards 40th birthday (more to come on that soon!).
Anyway, if you've been in the shop over the last 12 months you will have probably heard Hindi Zahra playing on repeat...I only discovered her music this year and it has been the soundtrack to my year in the shop, out on the road, and at home. I'm not sure I would have survived the year without it tbh!
Do check her out... amazingly beautiful music and something for most moods which has definitely suited the rollercoaster ride that has been 2024!

I'm having a family day today but the shop is open and the guys are there from 10am to 4pm!!

Yesterday was surprisingly busy which was nice! I'm here again today 10am to 4pm but then I hand over to the other guys for the 30th & 31st 😁
(We are closed on new year's day btw)

It's our last day before Christmas & we are open until 4pm today. It's quite low-key as I'm here on my own (the other guys have started their well deserved Christmas break).
Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas, I think we all deserve a good one this year!
We'll be back in a rather relaxed fashion from 10am on the 28th and do check out our website if you need a Tobys fix in the meantime!

Sadly it doesn't look like it's going to be a white Christmas this year (although we really don't know what the weather's going to do from one hour to the next in this country!) but they make great decorative items anyway!

Here's our latest plate rack design!
This one is called 'The Aldous' and is a larger size at 85cm wide.
It is finished in a darker stain, has a deeper shelf for bowls etc and has wooden cup pegs.
Full Dimensions: 85cm wide x 23.5cm deep x 67cm high.
Made here at Tobys in our workshop.
One available now from display but can be made to order (allow 3 weeks due to Christmas break).

Elf hunt! This Saturday & Sunday!
