Yesterday the RNLI launched their Yellow Welly Trail! β΄
The trail commemorates the 15 Coxswains of RNLI Exmouth dating back to 1859 and some of their descendants were there to honour their memory. Henry Tupman was Exmouthβs first Coxswain and his 4 x great granddaughter, Natalie Tupman cut a yellow ribbon to officially open the trail. π£π£π£
The trail provides 15 locations to find a βyellow wellyβ and a QR code takes you to information and about the coxswain and a letter for the answer box on the trail leaflet. Once completed, trailfinders can then take their leaflet to the RNLI shop to collect a certificate and reward.
Trail leaflets are available from the Exmouth Tourist Information Officer and is host to βWelly No 1β on the trail!

As my parents are visiting, we decided to treat ourselves to a day off and visit Dartmouth.
We drove to Kingswear and crossed the River Dart via the lower car ferry to Dartmouth. π
Then we hopped aboard the Dart Explorer for a fantastic trip up the River Dart. The commentary from Captain Jay was both humerous and information. β΄οΈ
Following this we enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Royal Castle, a spot of retail therapy before heading back to Alpine Park.π·π
A great day out.
